Red turns over in bed and checks the alarm on his phone which is only set on vibrate.

'Oh, 7:45? Ah, I better get up and going. Gotta get over to the professor's. I sure hope all the starter pokemon aren't gone.'

After showering and getting dressed, Red gets his gear ready. A dozen pokeballs for the new team ahead... check. A few repels... check. Town map... check. Dad's old pokeflute... sure why not. Never know when that might come in handy.

Zipping everything into his backpack, breakfast in hand, Red walks out the door.
