Recon first

With no idea what she was getting in to, she figured she would be better off doing a little recon first. To that end, she quietly slipped her pack off, setting it next to the fire, before taking her sword in hand and slinking towards the side of the hovel.

As she padded up next to the hovel, she found herself thankful for her bare feet for the first time since this entire maddening journey had begun. Her footsteps were completely silent, and she made her way to the side of the hovel without incident. Peeking through a hole in the side of the hovel, she saw something massive. It was a transparent, sickly green, made of some sort of gelatinous material, with a dark green nucleus at its' core. What appeared to be human remains floated within the mass, slowly dissolving into it. At its' base, it was nearly five feet wide, and it appeared to be fairly close to her height, too. While she had never encountered anything like this before, she could presume it was something she didn't want to take lightly.

Aside from that, there didn't seem to be much in the room. Most of the furniture was wrecked, acid burns and signs of magics being flung about speaking to the carnage. Near the entry flap, a spear, almost five feet in length, rested, its' steel tip glinting in the faint torchlight from within the hovel. Aside from that, she could see nothing of note from her vantage.

Stepping back, she considered her limited options. Just looking at it, she guessed the only way to harm it was to hit the nucleus. Her sword was poorly suited to that task, being barely long enough to reach the core with a good thrust. She could go for the spear inside the door, which would have more than enough reach, but it would have to be a well-timed maneuver, or it could go horribly wrong. She could always light the hovel on fire, too, and see if it flushed the slime out of the hovel.
