She wasn't stepping into the mud, nor was she leaving without her shoe. She leaned back out over the mud puddle, grunting as she strained to reach her other shoe, her right leg raised for balance as she finally managed to hook her fingers into the toe of her shoe. Giggling slightly at that, she gave her shoe a good, hard yank. Unfortunately for her, her left foot chose that moment to lose its' traction, sliding out behind her, sending her chest-first into the mud!
Her squeal of shock was cut short as her chest slammed into the mud, her breasts painfully cushioning her fall, the mud instantly soaking her white blouse, surging through the opening to coat her cleavage, oozing its' way into her bra. She managed to stop her face a scant inch from the surface of the mud, the tip of her nose grazing it, though her hair billowed around her head and straight into the mud, as well. As tears welled up in her eyes, Anna slowly stood, wrenching her shoe free of the mud. Her entire front side was covered in brown, and she could feel more of it in her bra, dragging it down, the straps straining at the extra weight. With a halfhearted flick, she tossed the shoe on the ground, then stuffed her foot into it, heedless of the mud squelching between her toes and oozing out the sides of it.
The first tear ran down her face as she realized she just couldn't go to class like this. Since she was going to be late, at the least, she had three options: throw herself at the mercy of the headmistress, go get her gym clothes, and maybe a quick shower, or hit up the secondhand store just up the street. She had a little money, though she doubted it was enough to replace everything that had been caked in mud.
