Our titular protagonist!

As a child, Ranma was made to promise to his Mother to become a man amongst men before embarking to train in the martial arts with his Father. Along their journey, his Father took him too the cursed training ground of Jusenkyo, where he fell into the cursed pool of drowned girl. Now, whenever splashed with cold water, Ranma turns into a girl, and can only turn back if doused by hot water.

After years of training, Ranma has become a fearsome martial artist of superhuman skill, while also amassing a collection of deadly rivals, enemies, and fiances. His day to day life is filled with chaos, fighting, martial artists, weird magic, and destruction.
