Rain

The rain kept falling that day, the day my family was killed. I thought the pain of losing my father and mother was painful, but i didn't know about the pain of being taken and treating like nothing. They came from me at the group home, me and a few other kids just taking us from our beds while we slept. They kept us all together in a dark room, not even the light of the moon nor the light of the sun could touch our skins. Many kids died from our group, it was hard only getting scraps of bread every day with water which didn't taste right. The only thing we had to look forward to was the day of our sale, the chance of a life maybe in the light or back in the darkness of the shadow.

"wow, there vary depressing to look at" a bubbly voice said with aw causing those remaining to look up to see a woman with pink hair in two pigtails and another woman with long blue hair frown down at us.

"hurry up Cherry, we have a schedule to keep" the blue hair girls scoffed to the pink hair girl turning on her heel and heading out of the door, the only dull and dim light we see in our hell.

Cherry let out a hum before descending the four steps with a skip in her steps as she rounded the room looking at every kid in the eyes. We started out with 20, now only 7 were still healthy and alive. She kept going until she stopped in front of me with a small frown on her beautiful face.

"i choose you" she smiled squatting down to be eye level with me.

"what do you say kid, what some salvation from this darkness?" she asked with a smile, just the thought of being able to leave this hell hole was enough for me to reaching out for her out stretched hand not caring anymore what i would have to do to leave the darkness but, i just wanted the light to shine again.
