Chapter 13
by Turtlerock
What happens during the next day?
Quite a lot, actually.
Things went relatively smoothly the next day. Link and Malon had acted like nothing happened between each other. Though soon it was getting to the point Link had to set out soon. He couldn't spend much more time in the bar.
"Hey, Malon. I have to go head out. There's some things I need to do. I'll be back though, I promise. I won't forget you," Link said.
Malon obviously frowned, but quickly turned it into a smile and tossing him a bag of rupees. "Take this with you, it's your paycheck from last night and a bonus."
Link caught the bag with relative ease and left the tavern. Inside the bag was Three red rupees, making his total 90. There was also something else, something unexpected. It was a pair of her panties. He shook his head. He sort of appreciated it, but it was a souvenir so he kept them for now.
After walking on a rocky path for several minutes he comes across a windmill, and a figure of someone fully cloaked and covered, only being able to see their eyes.
"Took you long enough," The figure snorted.
Link blinked in confusion. He was on his way to the market to buy fresh food for his next journey to Hyrule Castle. "Do... I uh... Do I know you?" Link asked.
"No, but you're someone I've been looking forward to meeting for a long time now.." The figure drew a small dagger, on it was the royal insignia.
"You must be a royal assassin," Link guessed. "I don't think I've done anything to warran---" He was cut off by a snicker from the figure.
"Oh this? I stole this years ago. From the corpse of a dead knight. After the war."
She shook her head. "Draw your sword, we're fighting right here, right now. Otherwise you won't be living."
Link didn't feel like fighting, but there was nobody in the immediate area. "I guess I don't have any other choice," he exasperated. "GUAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDS!" he shouted, running away like a madman from the assailant.
The mysterious figure was completely dumbfounded. They had no other choice but to disappear for now.
Several minutes go by and Link tried to explain the situation as he could, but there was no trace of the figure who wanted to fight him. Either way he continued with his day as normal, buying food, supplies, a grindstone for his sword and even a shield with metal-plating on the front. This basically drained all of his money, leaving him with a staggering three rupees. It was well worth it though because he was much better off prepared for the trip ahead.
There was only one way for him to go from here, and that was to Hyrule field.
Though who knows what kind of situations he would be up to going there?
Link moves forward, but do things go his way?
