Questions & Answers

A/N: Hello guys, this is one half of my accidental upload from last week. I decided to do something a little bit similar to the manga and have a chapter where the MC asks questions to Kurumu about her species. This is meant to be outside of continuity and probably won't be the only one as I'll add ones for the others when I feel it's appropriate. I may also come back to this chapter and update it as I get more questions relevant to Kurumu's species. Thanks for your understanding and support.

You yawned as you leaned back in your chair, your laptop booted up in front of you, the empty page taunting you as you awaited your Mate who insisted on dressing the part. Not that you were complaining since you liked it when Kurumu 'dressed up ' although that was usually when you two were role-playing in the bedroom, living room, the bathroom, the kitchen, and that one time in the classroom.

You were brought out of your thoughts by the sound of a door opening as you leaned back, your head swiveling around as your eyes found Kurumu's violet orbs, now looking at you happily from behind a pair of glasses that you pretty sure were fake. She also had on a white button-up blouse with a black dress jacket over it, both of which had the top two buttons undone, leaving a tantalizing glimpse of her cleavage. She completed the look with a pencil skirt that ended just above her knees. Possibly your favorite things though was that she'd tied her hair into a messy bun.

"Okay Kurumu-sensei, are you ready to begin?" You queried as you put both hands on the keyboard as you prepared the interview. She nodded, sitting primly in the chair opposite you.

"So the first question I have is about your mood swings, what exactly causes them?" You asked, not really eagerly awaiting her answer, but awaiting it all the same.

"Well, as you know with most monsters, when we're in our human forms, our true abilities and personalities are suppressed although than some can still break through sometimes, succubi are naturally sexual creatures and it shows as you saw." Kurumu explained, you nodding in acceptance.

"When I'm like this, in my human form, I'm able to focus more on the enjoyment of being with my mate, and that it was my first time, and all the simple girl stuff, but when I let my other side out fully, it overwhelmed me, and I was much more aggressive and dominant, simply focusing on my pleasure and the high of claiming my mate and bringing you to the same high as me, does that make sense?" She continued as you nodded.

"If I had to guess, the more times it happens, I'll get used to it, and my natural personality and my succubus personality will mesh more. I'm not saying I'm like two different people, think of it more like this is one side of me, this side is more natural while my other side is more like I'm drunk, free of my inhibitions." Kurumu finished.

"Okay, that makes sense I guess, moving on what changed your mind about sharing me with other girls?" You queried since Kurumu seemed to enjoy telling about herself, even if it was more about her species, although maybe she liked that too since she'd said succubi had a bad reputation, maybe she enjoyed setting the record straight so to speak.

"Ahh, first of all, I'm not 'okay ' with sharing you, at least not in those terms. I'm comfortable and secure with your feelings that you'll always love me regardless of any other girl that comes along." She started, as you typed what she said before glancing back at her.

"Secure with my feelings, what exactly does that mean, can you clarify?" You asked as Kurumu paused for a few moments, trying to order her thoughts.

"It's something that happens when a succubus finds her Mate, she begins to be able to feel what he feels, so to speak. Like if you were mad about something, I wouldn't be able to tell what had made you mad, only that you would feel mad, and sometimes if the feeling is strong enough, it would make me mad as well." Kurumu smiled, pausing before she continued with her providing of information.

"Just as its more of a vague feeling when we've just met, once we finished the Ritual, the connection got a lot stronger and now I can feel what you feel almost all the time if I think about it. Think of it like having a voice in your head 24/7 talking, you could ignore it or you can focus in on it. Maybe that's a bad analogy since that gives the impression it would drive me insane. Maybe thinking about it more like a radio would work better, the signals are always there, all I have to do is tune into the station." Kurumu seemed proud of her explanation, and you were inclined to agree, regardless of your obvious bias.

"Now continuing on with what I was saying, because I can feel your feelings, I know that you love me so much that adding some extra girls won't diminish your feelings for me. What really started it was my nature as a succubus, we're creatures that thrive on feelings of love from our Mate, so having a Mate that doesn't return our feelings is extremely dangerous." Kurumu said as you nodded along before looking up at the last word.

"Dangerous?"

"Yes, dangerous, you see succubi can't just pick and choose our Mates, we only have one Mate, and if that Mate doesn't return the feelings of love we have for them, we'll basically slowly wither away and die. It's considered one of the cruelest ways to kill a succubus in fact. That's why I was a bit insecure when we first met Moka because you seemed just as happy with her as you were with me. Now, I can feel your love for me, so I'm much more secure in our relationship, I hope that makes sense." Kurumu said, finally stopping as you gave a slight vulpine grin.

"And it may be a bit of my succubus nature, wanting all the girls in the school to see what a wonderful Mate I have. But sharing isn't the right term for what's happening, sharing implies you give them the same amount of love and/or attention you give me, and that's not accurate. A more accurate way of looking at it was before I had a pie, and was keeping the whole pie for myself, and now that I know how wonderful the pie is, I'm letting my friends, and maybe a few other girls if they're nice, all have a slice of the pie, but I'm still keeping half of the pie for myself, while they can all split up the other half." Kurumu explained as you typed away, recording her words, minus a few of her analogies.

"Okay the next question is... how does you Allure work?"

"That's rather simple. My Allure works by basically stimulating my targets natural attraction towards me to turn them into love slaves that would do whatever I asked them to, short of bodily harm of course. Although it does have it's limits due to my young age as a Succubus, my Allure would be completely brushed off by much more powerful Youkai, who would barely even notice. And now that I've found my Mate, my Allure is all but null since its my species way to help find our Mates, and requires a desire to attract my targets, but since I already have my Mate, my body doesn't want to attract anyone else." Kurumu seemed especially pleased with this tidbit of information.

"Oh yes, I was explaining, you see, feelings aren't all I get from you, it's how succubi survive, not as a race, but individually, when a succubus has sex with someone, we feed off of their life energy so to speak, one of the reason succubi have a bad reputation. However, when a succubus finds her Mate and completes the Ritual, it makes a more permanent link between us, a succubus will always feed of her Mate, supplementing her own life energy as well as her Youkai should the Mate possess any. So I can feel the ocean of Youkai you have swimming inside of you, even though I can't sense it physically, I can feel it through our link. In fact, that's probably why you shrugged off my Allure so easily." Kurumu said, holding her cheeks as a blush began to overtake her.

You thought you should feel violated, Kurumu basically just admitted to you that she was feeding off of your life, but one thing stuck to you, well several things really. First of all, technically she was doing the same thing Moka would do since if you remembered correctly, vampires feed off of life energy as well, and you suspected several other Youkai species did as well, so it was probably just the human inside of you rebelling at the idea. The second thing however..." So wait, you said you're feeding off of my life energy permanently from now on, so what if I die?" You had to ask the question.

"Well, if you mean emotionally, I would be distraught, and would more than likely kill myself without you, it's not that uncommon for a succubus to literally waste away to nothing while mourning their lost Mate like I mentioned earlier. If you mean physically, like I said I would probably waste away, but so long as you're alive we'll be together." Kurumu said, her happiness clear to see.

"And what if I never die?" That was the golden question as Kurumu's eyes flew open, looking at you happily.

"If you happened to be one of the few Youkai species that are truly immortal, then, well then... I suppose that would make me at least semi immortal, since any natural causes would be out of the question, so short of me being killed, not that it couldn't happen, I would be with you forever." She mumbled, perhaps feeling the tentativeness within you as you decide to assuage her guilt.

"Good, that means I'll never be lonely so long as I have you with me now."

She smiled softly at you.
