She grabbed a quick bagel and yogurt before heading to her car and driving to the firm. While driving, she returned some messages regarding the wedding. Their venue needed the final guest count soon, and she was still waiting on a few RSVPs. It was looking to be a smallish wedding: they had 70 "yes"es so far, out of 100 invites sent out. She was also still waiting on one of her three bridesmaids to lock in her availability for the wedding. She knew that Brian was holding out hope that his brother, Kyle would get his discharge from the Army in time to be Brian's best man. She'd never met Kyle, but from Brian's descriptions and comments, she got the sense that Kyle had been a bad kid, shiftless and delinquent, before the Army straightened him out. He was leaving the service after four years, and Brian seemed excited to have his little brother back in his life and on the straight and narrow.
