Pruning and Harvesting

"First we check for new growth," announced Holly. She moved directly toward the central root of the Feeler while Cerise and Mari reached down and picked up a pair of the longer tentacles on the ground. Those began to quiver slightly in response, and there was a slight rustling sound from the others that began to move slightly as well. "Here, Holly show Sky," and she motioned for you to approach.

Cautiously, you crept toward the Feeler, recalling your last visit in the lab. As you neared, it seemed that the vines quivered even more excitedly at first, but then relaxed somewhat as Holly lifted the newest growth for you to see. It was a rather small tentacle growing upward near the top of the root. "After harvest today, this one get pruned. That keep Feeler at five tentacles and not get out of control."
