Progress with the younger ones

Days had passed now. James felt a little awkward knowing that, in all likelihood, his mom and his boss we're, in fact, probably fucking at this moment. Sally knew it, too. It was just 7, when she turned to James and said, "You know. They're probably done eating."

"Sally, please. Don-"

"At least Mom is... Lee probably has something else he's eating now."

"Sally. The fuck."

She cackled at his red face. Aurora had locked herself in the bathroom with her odd machine over five hours ago, so this was what Sally chose to entertain herself with. Over the last couple of days, the two of them had taken to claiming James's gaming console. She'd had trouble with the controller, though, and after making it known to James he got what she'd needed to modify it for her hands.

Now, though, the both of them froze at the voice they heard. Her accent was nearly gone, save a slight buzz behind her words and s sounds. She sounded just slightly Asian in a way that was hard to place. Her voice was clear, humming, sweet, and just slightly high pitched.

"Sally...can we talk?", she stood fidgeting with the tiny scales on the back of her hands. A brown color touched her arms, and a light green touched her chest.

James and Sally shared a glance, the same stunned look on both of them. James spoke first.

"Aurora...how much did you just learn?"

A light lavender touched her cheeks. "I...a-all of the English words and phonetics online."

"...So, everything.", Sally said. Aurora nodded.

"I...think I can tell you...", she pushed herself into saying. Sally stared in confusion for a moment. A touch of that sickly green reminded Sally of what she meant. She stood and gave a nod.

"James, keep busy, ok? This is private.", she glanced at her brother, who nodded and stayed sitting down. Sally followed Aurora to the bathroom at the back of the house.
