Professionally and truthfully

Deciding to be honest, I say “This is the AFS Dawnbreaker from the now defunct Alteran Federation. I come to this galaxy to look for a new home.”

Somehow managing to keep a serious face after hearing that he is not only in a first contact civilization, but that there is life in another galaxy he says “Hold position, due to the irregularity of this situation I will have to transfer you to my commanding officer.” Nodding my head, he hits a button and the screen goes black. A minute later a woman appears on the screen, “Hello, I understand that you are from another galaxy and and unknown empire? I must request that you place your ship in the designated orbit and come to these coordinates to meet with me. After assessing your goals and situation we can go forward with first contact procedures and then you’ll be free to go.”

Agreeing to the request as that was what you were more or less expecting, I hang up the call and transfer the coordinates to the computer for autopilot to take me in. Once in position, I go down to the barracks to grab my plasma pistol and then to the hanger where the shuttle and the two fighters were located. Stepping into the shuttle and firing up the engines, I go down to the planet and land as I see people already waiting in front of my landing pad.

Landing without incident, I step out of the shuttle and look over at the welcoming party.
