Rosalina

"The next character to bid on is Rosalina. She is mostly known from the "Mario Galaxy" series and is a pretty woman. Again, as always, the starting bid is $25,000" says the auctioneer.

Before I can raise my hand, a man 2 rows in front of me raises his board up.

"$25,000 for number 39" says the auctioneer. I raise my board and say "$30,000". "30,000$ for number 17" the auctioneer returns.

The price for Rosalina keeps rocking higher and I keep placing bids too.

"134,500$ for number 35" says the auctioneer when I am outbid again.

134,500$ is a lot of money, and I wanted to leave myself some money for the Game of Thrones auction.

"134,500$ to the first, to the second, ..." I raise my tablet. "135,000$" I say, and I think to myself, if he goes over it again now, I'll leave it.

"$135,000 to number 17," the auctioneer looks around the room. "135,000$ to first, to second and sold to number 17" he announces and I start to get excited.

"Not bad little one," Reginald says, patting me on the back. "You got yourself someone good for pretty little money there."

"Quite little money?" I ask. "How expensive do similar characters usually get?" "Characters like Rosalina, can cost well and truly $200,000 if collectors put their money on it. But wait until you get to Peach or the Game of Thrones characters, that's where it really starts" he says and laughs.

Next up is Princess Daisy. Her auction lasts a little longer and more guests bid. In the end, she sells for $189,000.

"Now we come to our last character, Princess Peach." I notice Reginald sit down a little more focused.

"The starting bid for Princess is $25,000, just like the others" says the auctioneer.

All of a sudden, several boards fly up at once and there are several people shouting numbers around the room.

What's going on now? I ask myself. This reminds me of a documentary I once saw about Wall Street.

The price keeps going up and the auctioneer can hardly keep up with the new amounts. Quickly the 25.000$ become 100.000$ and then 200.000$. Only after the 200.000$ there are less bidders.

After a few minutes, there are only 2 bidders left at $270,000.

"270,000$ to the first, to the second, ..." "$275,000" I hear coming from beside me and Reginald raises his board.

The guest who bid the $270,000 looks at Reginald and rubs his teeth together. "275,000$ to the first, to the second and sold to number 24" announces the auctioneer.

"Congratulations" I say to Reginald and now pat him on the back. "Thank you" he says and then looks to Sylvanas.

"Congratulations" she says submissively to him. He takes her head in one hand and then pulls it to his so he falls into a long kiss with her.

The auctioneer ends the auction and says that the main auction will be later in the evening, but I keep looking at Reginald and Sylvanas who finally finish their kiss.

After the auctioneer leaves the stage, the crowd goes back through the door into the reception room. "Come on let's go too. I've gotten a little hungry now" Reginald says and laughs.
