A First Taste of Humiliation

Maria decided that she didn't just want to leave some physical marks on Catarina, she wanted to humiliate her. She wanted to degrade her. It wasn't about the money it was about the principle. Maria peered around the store.

The first thing that caught her eye was a carton of eggs. Yes, this would be a great start, she was going to enjoy this. Picking the box off the shelf, she opened it and hurled egg after egg at Catarina on the ground. They pinged against her, some breaking and some not. After five or six eggs hit their mark, leaving yellow splodges where they hit, Maria advanced on her again with a couple more.

"You wanna quit yet?" Maria forced her up into a sitting position. To her surprise, there were still no tears. No, she hadn't broken her yet.

Catarina tried to move away, but it wasn’t going to be that easy. She was forced into a sitting position again and Maria cracked an egg right into her hair. She screamed as the gunk coated her charcoal coloured hair and then fell into the lap of her apron. What was happening to her?

Maria then kicked her back to the ground and grabbed the bottom of the egg-covered apron. With the ferocity of a wild animal, she tore the apron up her torso and ripped it over her head.

Her bun came away and her gungy hair came free in long curtains. Dazed and confused, Catarina finally managed to return to her feet.
