Aww, Cute
Money Problems
Izuku, Mei, and yourself had finished basking in the post-coital glow, Mei having refused to stop lying on and hugging Izuku until you all decided to leave. After getting dressed, you all headed down to the dorm’s common area to meet up with the rest of 1-A.
There were a few things that were needed to ensure your darling’s rise to the top of the hero charts.
First: training. He already had rivals to grow his strength, and access to some of the best heroes in the country. There wasn’t much you could do to improve his chances there, honestly.
Second: manpower. He’d need people to fill his agency. Most new heroes, even ones from UA, needed to gain notoriety before they could get a large amount of sidekicks. This was where you _could _help. Classmates and pro heroes alike wouldn’t just team-up with him, they’d beg to be his sidekicks. Not only that, you could use All For One to optimise their quirks until they were unstoppable.
Third: money. You were Japan’s top model. Unfortunately, modelling pays like shit, so even at your level you wouldn’t be able to fund an entire hero agency. Robbing a bank wouldn’t be a good long term income source and even you, despite your near godhood, couldn’t accurately predict the stock market.
“It will be wonderful to have some more space tonight. While it’s nice to be around all of you, the rooms here are so small.” You were shaken out of your reverie by the words of one Momo Yaoyorozu, in conversation with Jirou. They were coming down the stairs to the girl’s side, reaching the bottom at the same time as you three reached the bottom of the boy’s one.
The pair noticed that they were not alone, though their mental reactions were entirely different. Jirou noticed the stray hairs, still slightly flushed cheeks, and physical closeness, putting two and two together. She would certainly talk about it, but wasn’t going to try and get Izuku in trouble for it.
Momo was entirely oblivious. Even though you were only seeing her surface level thoughts right now, it was clear she was incredibly sheltered.
You were far more interested in what she had just said though. The rooms in the dorms weren’t massive, but they weren’t small enough for most people to complain about. So either she had spent her life up to this point sleeping in the living room or…
She was the solution to your money problem.
You peered deeper into her psyche as Izuku greeted her. Mei immediately ran to Jirou, grabbing at her earphone jacks to examine them, and thankfully drawing attention away from you.
You could hold a conversation while reading someone’s mind, but it always gave the distinct impression of being an airheaded drunkard.
Momo’s mind was very structured. She was the rare breed of genius whose mind agreed with the society it found itself in. That made it very easy to find the memories you were looking for, and they were exciting.
The Yaoyorozu family were old money. Old money who had a hand in most forms of industry across the country. Old money with groundwork already laid out to expand into the hero business.
And Momo was going to be spending her Sunday at home with her parents.
You extracted yourself from her deep mindscape and peered into Izuku’s instead, searching through for his attraction to Momo. What you found was a metaphorical vault of the times he had seen his buxom classmate tear off her own clothing.
There was attraction there, but as long as he believed it to be one-sided, he wouldn’t act on it. Now if only you could do something to make her reciprocate the attraction.
You chuckled, drawing Momo’s attention.
“You’re Ren Yamada, the number one model, aren’t you? Miss Uwabami mentioned you quite a bit during my internship.”
The snake hero, Uwabami, had been something of a mentor to you early on in your modelling career. She only employed heroes in her agency, and you hadn’t liked working with her enough to change that. Nevertheless, she had been a tolerable presence, and an attractive one at that. You mentally added her to the list of heroes to bring into Izuku’s eventual agency.
“I am.” You inclined your head gracefully. “All good, I hope?”
“She was always rather rueful about your unwillingness to become a hero, but she held you up as the gold standard for modelling.”
You smiled. “That’s too kind of her.”
Continuing the small talk, you found your way over to a ring of couches. As you all sat down, Jirou managed to extract herself from Mei’s incessant questioning, and turned to Izuku.
“Momo and I were meant to be on dinner tonight, but she’s spending the night back at home. Can you fill in for her?”
Midoriya nodded. “Sure, what were you thinking of making?”
“It’s a pork based thing, with a bit of rice and- you know what? We’ve got most of it in the kitchen, I’ll show you.” Jirou had been planning to ask one of the other girls, but a mix of desperately wanting to stop talking to Mei and wanting to grill Izuku about what he’d been doing in his room had meant that she asked him instead.
Leaving you alone with Mei and Momo.
You’d leave the glut of the readjustments to later, for now you simply leant forward and said: “You’d like to invite me to your place tonight.”
