The woman took you to an abandoned and muddy cabin. You noticed through the smell that there was an old pigsty. There was a cot there, and she had the decency to leave you a cloak to protect you from the cold and a torch burning on the wall. The place smelled horrible. You thanked her and she left.

You wrapped yourself in your cloak and lay down on the cot and curled up like a little dog trying to get warm. It was impossible.

It was dawn when you got to sleep.

Your cheeks and ears froze, and so your nose. The flame that burned in the torch was swallowed by the wind, and you shivered. Snow came in through the window and the gale blew the mist.

Even with the wind blowing outside, you could hear out footsteps. Could it be one of Craster's daughters? You feared it wasn't. You were sure it was the wildlings, that they had followed your trail and had come back to get you! When Craster himself suddenly walks through the door.

"Are you awake, little shit?"

“Y-Yes…”, you answer, trembling.

“Oh, the puppy is cold”, he chuckled. "You look like a northerner, but you're not used to the cold?"

"I've never come this far, sir."

"Many of those who come don't come back", you didn't know if that was a threat.

"I imagine so, sir."

"You don't seem to be very resistant there."

You did not answer.

“Do you want to go into the hall and stand by the fire?” he asked, teasing you.

"It would be very nice, sir."

"It would, wouldn't it?"

"Yes".

“Being warm in this cold is one of the greatest blessings in the world. How about we make a deal, crow?”

"A deal?"

"Yes. I can share with you some of my fire and keep you warm inside… but in return I want you to warm me up.”

"I don't know if I understand, sir."
