BSW Day 10 - Go to Beth

"We can't cut Beth out," you say. "You can party with us if you come through, but we're a team."

Lara looks amused. She'd be really pretty if she wasn't so cocky all the time.

"Then we better go. You ready?" she asks, putting on a backpack.

"Are we walking?" you ask, following her outside. It will start getting dark soon.

"Running. If we walk it'll take all night. And if we take the time to go find a car, it'll take even longer. I know where it is from here, but I don't know the roads," Lara says.

"What is it? Where are they keeping her?"

"It's just a campsite. An old summer camp," Lara says.

"It's by another lake. We can sneak her out."

"Okay. Lead on."

Lara has a flashlight, and she jogs off into the woods. You go after her. You're both tired from a hard day, but you're athletes. And Beth is your girlfriend... you want to see her.

It's a long trip, and it gets dark as you run. You have to slow down to make sure you don't trip or hurt yourselves, and it's pretty late when you finally get there. It's definitely... several miles, but you eventually see lights. There are some cabins and stuff, kind of like the main camp, but definitely older and like... not as nice. But you can hear the girls inside, and it sounds like they're having fun.

You and Lara creep into the camp and sneak around a bit, peeking through windows until you find Blue Team's cabin. They're all in there, complaining about not having their phones... but there are no cameras down here, so it's not all bad.

Lara taps the glass, and it takes Beth a second to notice you. She quickly disengages from the others, puts on her shoes, and comes outside. She grabs you in a tight hug that's kind of nice, but it doesn't last. She's pissed about losing, and you don't blame her.

"What are you two doing here?" she asks.

"Busting you out," you say. "Let's go back to the Lodge."

"But I'm not supposed to be there," she says.

"We can hide you," Lara tells her.

Beth looks uncertain, then giggles. "That should be funny," she says. Hiding probably doesn't sound fun, but it would be more interesting than sitting around here with no phone.

"Let's do it," Beth says.

Ugh... it's a long trip back, but you all get moving, following Lara. Soon, her flashlight flickers and dies.

"Shit," she says. You and Beth move closer to her. There's a bit of moonlight, but not much. "Don't worry. I can find the way."

You keep moving, but now it's totally dark. Lara eventually stops, looking worried.

"What's wrong?" Beth asks.

"Beth, you know I'm... outdoorsy," Lara says.

"That's an understatement."

"I can navigate by the stars. I've done it before. But... we're going in circles," Lara says.

"Oh, shit. We may want to just wait for daylight. We don't want to get more lost," you suggest.

But it's getting chilly... sitting around in the dark and the cold. Ugh.

"What's that over there?" Beth asks, pointing. "Is it a building?"

It is. It's a cabin.
