You stop breathing, waiting for Penny to continue, you know you're not perfect but she's the one person who comforts you all the time, you were expecting her to be understanding of your circumstances.
"So you have a limitless power and this is how you use it?"
You look away, not wanting to cross her eyes.
"Come on, you could have changed the whole world! But you stopped at students from your school?"
You're confused, "Aren't you mad at me?" you ask.
"John, Yes I'm mad! You could've made me rich!" She then laughs and you join her.
"But, if you didn't get it, it's okay John, you aren't greedy, it's normal to... move things in your favor. And I understand adding Kana to our relationship, I guess your power did that but I remember I was the one actually asking for it in the first place."
"So the past getting rewritten is random?" You're talking to yourself.
"There's surely a rule behind it, let's say you didn't experiment much... I'm still okay with becoming rich." She grins and you think about it for a second.
"But if I make you rich, wouldn't you remember yourself as such?"
"Yeah, the novelty wouldn't even occur... Never mind, make me rich if I need it."
You laugh at the absurdity of her sentence.
"However I have a request for you..." She says gently.
"What is it?"
"Could you ask permission before changing me? I like myself as I am... kinda."
"Yeah sure."
"Cool" she points to some bookshop. "Mind if we go take a look?"
You spend the rest of your afternoon with Penny, joking around, and talking. Deep inside, you feel like you were stressed for nothing, she's on your side no matter what and you're not in the wrong for what you've done.
