Starfire burst into the room

“Friend, I am sorry to intrude but your door was unlocked and I was just wondering if you had…. Seen… our new friend…. Lancer.” Starfire cheerfully asks as she opens Raven’s door and walks in, “Oh, I’m sorry, I see you have already found him. I will inform the others to abandon the search.”

As quickly and abruptly as she entered Starfire turned and left Raven’s room, apparently not noticing her two teammates in their quiet embrace.

“Umm…. What just happened? Did she just not even…? I’m confused.” You start to ask Raven before just giving up.

“Yeah, she’ll do that you.”

“Wait one glarnoking moment!” Starfire exclaims as she reenters the room a moment later, “I am almost certain I just saw you two engaged in the snuggling.”

“Umm…. We actually haven’t moved since you last left Star.” You say slowly.

“Yes, I see and it still appears as if the two of you are engaging in close behavior.”

“Umm… Again, we haven’t moved so yes I guess we are engaging in close behavior.” You reply, not exactly sure what close behavior meant but it would likely be accurate.

“But that can not be true. Our friend Raven does not enjoy the closeness, or the snuggling, or the holding of hands, or the touching of lips or the exchanging of kind words. She likes depressing earth poems and being alone.”

“Umm… I don’t know what to tell you Starfire.”

“You can tell me what is going on between you and Raven as it clearly can not be what it appears to be.”

“Starfire, it is what it looks like.” Raven says reluctantly, “Lancer spent last night with me and you just walked in on….”

“You have finally procured yourself a friend who is a boy but not like the other friends of ours who are also boys and yet somehow different? That is most glorious Raven, I am so happy for you and I’m sure the others will be just as pleased as well….”

“Please don’t tell anyone Star, I don’t know if I’m ready to tell the others about this.” Raven asks Starfire forcefully.

“You do not wish to share the news of this glorious happening with your friends? I do not understand.” Starfire asks, her overjoyed expression suddenly turning to one of **** sadness.

“Just promise me….”

“The time isn’t right yet Star so we’re hoping we can keep this a secret between just the three of us. When the time is right we’ll tell the others.” You interrupt Raven.

“I see. We’ll, why I do not understand this strange earth custom of hiding ones love from their friends I will surely respect your wishes. I will not tell anyone until you are ready.”

“Thanks Star.”
