Allie ran out of the building. Thankfully only a few people were around, so nobody really saw her, but she was very embarrassed nonetheless.
There were two paths towards the medical building. One was a direct concrete sidewalk that headed directly there, but it was well-trafficked and next to a parking lot. The other was through a small forest in the park. It had the advantage of being less busy, with plenty of places to hide, but was much longer. It was the scenic route, quite literally.
Allie dipped into the trees, walking on the side of the dirt path so she could easily jump into a bush if someone saw. She was aware of how naked she was, how her bare feet felt against the cool dirt. She was hurrying along, taking a light jog as she kept her eyes out for people. So far, there were none.
She trodded a bit off the path, making a shortcut through a loop in the path. It was a bit muddy, dirtying her soles with each step, but her heart was still pumping and she wanted to arrive as soon as possible. Then she heard something. Jumping in the bushes, she peaked out.
A girl about her age and a boy were walking down the path, holding hands. They were chatting about something, seemingly school-related. Allie eyed them, hoping they'd pass.
"Oh hey, there's something over there. Maybe it's a squirrel," the girl said pointing to Allie's location. Her heart stopped.
The boy chuckled. "I told you, you should adopt one at this point."
She stuck her tongue out at him and then approached Allie, who was panicking. I can't move anywhere, it'll make more sound. But I need to get out, Allie thought.
Another feeling crept up on Allie, one she had experienced several times in the last hour. Just as the girl pushed aside the leaves to look at Allie, she sneezed right into her face.
"I-I'm so sorry! I don't--I'm not dressed--I--" Allie began, then she noticed.
The girl was naked, just like her.
"What the hell? Where are your clothes?" the boy asked.
The girl turned to face him, and tried to answer, but instead sneezed. He was now naked and barefoot as well.
Allie used the distraction to bolt out and run for the medical building as fast as she could.
