Sue secretly follows Janet and Tony.

Thick leaves rustled as Arcade’s captives brushed by, racing to get away from their robot pursuers. Naked, save for his cell phone turned repulsor gauntlet, Tony Stark resembled a primitive native, chasing a meal in the dense jungle thicket.

Not far behind, unseen to the naked eye was fellow hero, Sue Storm, using the ability that earned her the name Invisible Woman. If Arcade was watching, she didn’t want to reveal herself by moving the foliage out of nowhere, so she had to keep a close pace with Stark.

Further up ahead was Janet. She was in wasp form and could travel much faster than a human at full sprint.

After a few minutes of running, Tony was breathing heavily and had to slow down. Sue was close to her limit too, so peeled away from the path to catch her breath. As real as he looked and acted, Sue was still convinced this was a robot brought in by Arcade to fool Janet and she didn’t want to tip the Tony robot off about her presence.

Laying under the giant leaves of a jungle fern, Sue could finally drop her invisibility and regain some strength. She could hold out invisible for a long time, but it did tax her body after time, so she wanted to take advantage of her brief respite as much as she could. Tony gave an empathetic grin and shrugged, “Don’t worry, no one’s around to see,” he assured her, “No sign of those guards following us.” Tony nodded back from whence they came.

“Guess I didn’t realize how rocky the terrain would be,” Janet said as she gazed into Tony’s blue eyes while holding her breath.

“Shall I carry you to our destination, m’lady?” Tony mused.

Even though it was meant to be a tease, Janet grinned and wrapped her arms around Tony’s neck and pointed out the direction. “That way.”

Tony obliged, lifted up the petite woman with ease. Janet nuzzled close to the Iron Man’s chest as she felt safely cocooned in his manly form.
