She allows herself to be signed up.

“Matt?” Eleanor finds herself asking.

Matt looks troubled about the entire situation. He shook his head not knowing what other answer to give.

“Please?” Eleanor pleaded.

“Honestly, I don’t know what to say. Both scenarios are going to be quite humiliating. If you go along with Megan’s mom on the permanude program, you will be free from punishment for being naked but you’ll be that way until you get home. Is there any chance of you overcoming your humiliation of being seen naked?” Matt asks.

“You mean to ask, will I get used to having my bare body seen by people? Will it ever stop being humiliating?” Eleanor asks.

“Yes,” Matt says with a nod.

“No. Of course not. Modesty has been a constant lesson for us since we were young. When someone in Luaril experiences a Holostyle Watch malfunction and their body is exposed, they are deeply humiliated. Why would the amount of times I am seen naked reduce my humiliation?” Eleanor asks.

“Well then, I think the answer is clear. You need humiliation to charge your Holostyle Watch. If your humiliation will not decrease then I say let her proceed,” he says.

“Okay,” Eleanor says. “Let’s proceed.”

“All right. I’ll head home and get things started. I think it’s safe to say that in three days, Eleanor Bigsby will officially be in the system. I think you might want to stay indoors until then. I normally wouldn’t say this to a person but if humiliation is what you are looking for, you will do no better than my daughter. She gave me grief to no end when she was in school. I’m sure she’ll manage to humiliate you properly soon enough,” Valorie says, heading for the door.

“Bye, Valorie,” Matt says.

“Bye, mom,” Megan waves.

“See you soon,” Eleanor says.

“Bye all,” Valorie says before disappearing out of the house, closing the door behind her.

“Interesting that you didn’t say ‘bye’ like we did,” Matt says.

“I am not familiar with that term. I surmised the meaning when Megan waved to her mother and her mother confirmed it by repeating it. In Luaril, we simply say ‘see you soon’ because more than likely, we will see that person again soon,” Eleanor answers with a shrug.

Matt laughs and Megan rolls her eyes. Megan pats the spot on the couch next to her and Eleanor moves to sit down. As soon as she sits, Megan grabs Eleanor’s right leg and pulls it over her own legs so that Eleanor’s naked body is splayed out a bit.

“Move your other leg further away,” Megan instructs.

“Please, this is enough,” Eleanor begs.

“Hush and do as I say,” Megan orders.

Eleanor’s cheeks flush pink as she obeys Megan. The faint sound of her Holostyle Watch vibrating in the next room is clearly heard. How was she going to survive this? Why had she been assigned to this dimension? Why couldn’t she have been given an easier assignment?

“Now let’s check out some tv. I hope you don’t mind, but the movie has scene description enabled for Matt,” Megan says.

“How could I mind? I don’t even know what that is,” Eleanor says.

“You’ll see,” Megan says with a smile. “You are in for a treat.”
