Not with Paige, but still

Eventually I start to get bored just watching TV. "So, how's what's-his-name?" I ask, thinking about the guy she'd been dating. The guy that I'd imagined her having... Nevermind.

"Ben? He's fine. We're going to a movie tomorrow, actually. I think," she leans in conspiratorially, "I'm gonna do him. He worked hard and he earned it."

I roll my eyes. She always does this to embarrass me. "Yeah, okay, just be a little quieter if I'm asleep this time, okay?" I do my best to look uninterested.

She quirks up an eyebrow, looking perplexed. "Where'd this come from?" she teased. "Look at miss can-talk-about-sex over here. You pick that up in Church?"

Oh great, _now _I'm blushing. "Shut up, I can talk about sex. That part isn't even sinning. Nuns even do it." I fold my arms. "Also, what's Ben's last name?" I pull up facebook on my phone, ready to look him up."

"I don't need you judging me. You can meet him in person some other time." She goes back to the TV, and I shrug it off. We chat idly over the TV, and I think she's trying to probe how much I'm willing to talk about sex. No, I did not answer any personal questions.

Hours later, I'm laying in bed. Which is nice. It's not that great of a mattress, and came pretty cheap, but it's mine. I'm still very curious about Ben, so I log on to facebook and dig through Paige's friends until I find him. He isn't the only Benjamin, but it isn't hard to tell it's him since he's the only Benjamin in her friends list who isn't geriatric. Also, he's exactly Paige's type in that he's hot, with a nice crew cut and skin and muscles that look like he spends his time working outside. (Come to think of it, do Paige and I have the same type?) Anyway, I dig through his page. It seems that he's pretty popular, and an all around nice guy, or at least it seems like it from his page. He posted his location at a pet shelter, where he volunteers a few times, and seems to have a good relationship with his family. I don't see anything about going to church, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Paige doesn't go much either, and she's still a good person.

I come across a post that he's tagged in where some people, his friends I assume, are talking about men being bad at sex. Someone tagged him in it, replying, "Hear that Ben Fortunato, they're talking about you." Judging by the commenter being a man, I'm pretty sure it's just a jibe. I'm about to scroll away when something strange happens. I feel compelled to respond. I know that I shouldn't, since I don't even know these people, but it just seems like it would be so much fun to tell a little fib here. Besides, it would be a nice thing to do to defend Paige's boyfriend, right? I type in, "I have it on good authority that Ben Fortunato is actually incredible in bed." Realizing before I hit send that if people realize that Paige and I are roommates, they'll assume that she's my "good authority." Is that so bad, though? After how much she was teasing me? I send the message and then follow it up with, "From how much my roommate screams whenever he comes over, anyway" and send it.
