What's next?
Rila in a trance
A/N: I've renamed the Observation Discipline to the Connection Discipline since it fits better thematically with what I have planned for it. I'll also be listing Julian's current status at the end of each chapter so people can follow along. Let me know if you want me to list his current Skills there as well. I've also been thinking about publishing a character sheet chapter for Julian where all of that information will be listed and updated, so that's also something to consider.
Julian had read about hypnosis before. The art of lulling someone into a trance had been the subject of plots by various villains in the fiction he consumed. They usually popped up as powerful wielders of mind magic who used their abilities to ensorcell people in powerful positions to spread their own influence. The sexual angle of establishing control over others had never really been explored, only teased at most. One of Julian’s favorite books had been about the elven heroine Sonia’s struggles against the human mind mage Yelinor. There’d been one part of the narration where Yelinor had managed to finally ensnare Sonia in a hypnotic trance to do his bidding. She’d been freed by her companions soon after, but the scene had always stuck with Julian. He’d often imagined himself in Yelinor’s place, using his abilities on the buxom, beautiful, scantily clad Sonia.
He shook his head.
“Rila, can you hear me?”
Julian stared at his younger sister, waving his sword experimentally. Rila’s blue eyes followed the sword. He held it up next to his head so he got the impression that she was looking at him. Her mouth was still open and her eyes stared ahead blankly. It looked like the lights were on, but no one was home. He didn't know why that turned him on so much.
I definitely need to get something smaller to use as a focus. Maybe a necklace or a ring.
“Yes…” the normally energetic girl muttered blankly. It was so strange seeing her like this. She was usually so full of energy, always pestering Julian or her sisters with questions they usually didn’t feel like answering. Julian humored her, however, and their relationship had been all the better for it. Of all his sisters, Rila was the one who treated him best, even if she could be annoying at times. He wondered if that was why he felt so conflicted about using her as a test subject for his new Skill, Hypnosis. Or about taking advantage of her seeming unawareness of her surroundings to get a close look at her big breasts and juicy bubble butt.
He stood mere inches away from her, staring down into her cleavage. He shook his head and looked away. He couldn’t afford to let anything distract him now.
“Do you know what’s happening to you right now, Rila?”
The blonde girl shook her head.
“You’re in a hypnotic trance. You won’t remember anything that transpires here consciously. You feel incredibly relaxed. Free. Like you can tell me anything.”
“Mmmm…” her stance shifted slightly.
“Why’d you come down here?” he said, his voice laden with frustration. “Why couldn’t you just stay upstairs?”
Rila stared straight ahead, unfazed by his anger.
“You weren’t in your room so I came looking for you.”
Julian sighed.
“That’s it? You didn’t think I’d be in the bathroom or something? What about the library? Did you check there?”
Rila didn’t answer.
“Okay, this is getting me nowhere,” he took a deep breath. How was he going to handle this? Rila had seen him in the dungeon which only people with a class could control. She knew he had a class, but she didn’t know he was a Psion.
He didn’t want her telling anyone he had a class. He still wasn’t sure which class he was going to use to mask his true nature. He needed to keep his newly classed status a secret until he’d done a lot more research and come up with a viable solution.
Rila wouldn’t allow that, though. She’d tell everyone she could that her older brother finally discovered his class. The worst part of it all was she’d do it to help him escape the prejudice he’d experienced ever since she’d discovered her class and he didn’t. She’d be so proud, too.
I can’t let that happen. I’m so sorry.
Blank was always an option. Rila had interrupted him before he could pick his second Skill. He could just go back into the Skill Tree, pick Blank, and erase Rila’s memory of finding him in the dungeon.
Then I’d potentially miss out on a combat Skill to round myself out. I still haven’t looked in depth at the other Disciplines. But I can’t let Rila tell anyone I’ve discovered my class. I’m not ready.
He stared at his sister. Intellectually he’d always known she was beautiful, but now that she was eighteen and a woman, he couldn’t see her as the sister she’d always been. No, there was something else he wanted from her. Something carnal and wrong and forbidden. No brother should want his sister, but Julian couldn’t help but desire all of Rila for himself. Her large pillowy breasts. Her soft, plush lips. Her long blonde hair. Her plump bubble butt.
Julian was pretty sure Rila would never feel the same way about him. It just didn’t seem realistic, and the strange periodic tingle at the back of his mind seemed to agree.
Maybe I’ve been looking at this the wrong way. I don’t need to make her forget. I just need her to keep my secret.
The dull throbbing in his injured arm drew his attention to it. He was still bleeding. A plan began to form in Julian’s mind.
“Those monsters hurt me, Rila. Did you see it?” he said. “My arm’s still bleeding.”
“You’re hurt?” Rila’s eyes widened slightly.
“I’m hurt,” he said.
“You’re hurt. Julian…”
His heart almost melted at the distressed tone of her voice. It was most heartfelt sentence anyone had expressed towards him in a long time.
“I’m hurt because you weren’t here to heal me. It’s your fault, Rila.”
Her eyes widened.
“My fault…no. Could have me asked for help.”
Julian quirked an eyebrow.
“You would’ve actually helped me? Seriously?” he wondered aloud.
“Yes, you idiot. You’re my brother,” she replied.
A smile tugged at his lips. He wanted to wake her up. To end this before it went too far, but fear tempered that desire.
He took a step back.
“You’d tell everyone I had a class the first chance you got though, wouldn’t you?”
Rila nodded without hesitation.
He let out a long sigh.
Figures.
“That’s why I didn’t ask for your help. I’m not ready to tell anyone I’ve discovered my class and I can’t trust you to keep a secret.”
Rila stayed quiet. She stared at his sword blankly. Out of curiosity, Julian reached a hand up to caress the side of her face. Rila’s skin was so soft and smooth. The girl did nothing to stop him, so he lowered his hand down her neck and rested it just above the swell of her breasts.
“It’s your fault I was hurt, Rila. I knew you’d tell everyone about my class so I came down here by myself and put myself in harm’s way. It’s your fault. Say it.”
“My fault,” Rila repeated readily, distress entering her entranced voice.
<You need Julian to trust you so he doesn’t get himself hurt again.>
He felt the Suggestion slide into her mind without resistance.
Rila sighed, and Julian worried for a moment that she might have woken up. She kept her eyes focused on his sword, however.
She licked her lips.
“What is it, Rila?” Julian asked.
“I need you to trust me so you don’t get hurt again. Please trust me… please…” she nearly whimpered under her trance. He suppressed his brotherly instinct to hug her and mutter sweet assurances into her ear. He needed her to feel guilty, much as it pained him to see her that way.
I’m doing this for both of us. If word gets out I’m a mind controlling class, my family might be persecuted for it.
It was a weak excuse, but it was all he had.
“Rila. What’s the most important thing to do when you want to gain someone’s trust?”
Rila didn’t answer for a long moment. Julian was about to rephrase his question when she finally responded.
“To not betray that trust,” she said.
Julian grinned. He could tell he was getting closer.
“So the most important thing you can do when you want to gain my trust is to never betray that trust, right? Say it.”
Rila swallowed. She clenched her fists.
“The most important thing I can do when I want to gain your trust is to never betray that trust,” she repeated obediently, her voice firm.
“And you need me to trust you.”
Rila nodded.
“Say it.”
“I need you to trust me.”
“Again.”
“I need you to trust me.”
“Why?”
“So you won’t get hurt,” Rila’s voice grew firm again.
“How do you betray a person’s trust, Rila? Actually, don’t answer that. How do you think you would betray my trust?”
“I wouldn’t,” she responded almost petulantly.
Julian pinched his nose. Trust his sister to get angry when questioned about her virtues.
“Okay, let me rephrase that. Hypothetically, what’s something that you could do that would betray my trust?”
Rila paused.
“I… could steal something from your room?”
Julian blinked.
“Yeah. That would definitely be a betrayal of my trust, but I was thinking about something else. About my secret. Would you tell anyone I had a class?”
She bit her lip.
“You need me to trust you.”
“I need you to trust me,” she repeated.
“In order to gain my trust, the most important thing you can do is never betray that trust, right?”
She nodded.
“If you tell anyone my secret, I’ll consider it a betrayal of my trust in you. You don’t want that, do you?”
“No,” she replied.
“What’ll happen if you tell anyone my secret, Rila?”
She swallowed again. Julian followed the bulge in her throat, briefly imagining his sister accepting his cum into her stomach.
“I’ll… be betraying your trust,” she said quietly.
“Say it again.”
“I’ll be betraying your trust.”
“Again.”
“I’ll be betraying your trust.”
“If you betray my trust, I’ll get myself hurt again, won’t I?”
“Yes,” Rila said.
“And it’ll be your fault, won’t it?”
“Mhm."
“If you tell anyone my secret, you’ll betray my trust,” he said.
“If I tell anyone your secret, I’ll betray your trust.”
“If you tell anyone my secret, I’ll get hurt again. And you’ll be responsible, won’t you?”
She nodded.
“Say it.”
“I’ll be responsible.”
She repeated him far more readily now, like a student who’d finally caught on to gist of the lesson given to her by a teacher.
“Will you tell anyone about my class?” Julian said.
“No,” her reply was firm and immediate.
His cock throbbed. For some reason seeing his ability do its work on women aroused him.
“I don’t believe you,” he said.
Her eyes widened.
“I mean, so far, you haven’t really demonstrated that you’ll actually make good on your word. I have no reason to believe you.”
Rila said nothing.
“Why should I believe you, Rila? Why should I trust you?”
“I’m your sister,” she said.
Julian shook his head.
“Would a good sister **** her brother to fight a couple of monsters alone because he couldn’t trust her with his secret?”
Rila’s eyes widened.
“You haven’t been a good sister, have you?”
“No,” she adjusted her stance, causing her boobs to jiggle.
“If you’d been a good sister, I’d have told you I’d discovered my class. I’d have trusted you. You need me to trust you.”
“I need you to trust me.”
“I don’t trust you because you’ve been a bad sister to me. Isn’t that right?”
“Yes…” the busty blonde replied.
“What does a good sister do for her brother? Do you know?”
Rila paused for a moment before answering.
“A good sister gets her brother to trust her.”
“How does she do that?” Julian asked.
“By not telling anyone his secrets,” Rila said immediately.
Julian felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. She was finally coming around.
“Exactly right. You want to be a good sister for me. Say it.”
“I want to be a good sister for you,” Rila replied.
“Say it again.”
“I want to be a good sister for you.”
“Keep repeating it until I tell you to stop. The more you say the words, the more you’ll believe them to be true.”
“I want to be a good sister for you. I want to be a good sister for you. I want to be a good sister for you. I want to be a good sister for you. I want to be a good sister for you. I want to be a good sister-”
“That’s enough for now. I’m going to ask you to do something when you’re awake. You won’t be aware you’re doing it, but you’ll do it anyway. It’ll help you be a good sister for me. Do you want me to tell you what I want you to do?”
“Yes,” Rila whispered.
“Remember. You won’t realize that you’re doing what I ask, but it’ll help you be a good sister for me. You want to be a good sister for me.”
“I want to be a good sister for you.”
“You need to be a good sister for me. You need me to trust you.”
“I need to be a good sister for you. I need you to trust me.”
“I don’t know if I’m ready to ask you what I need yet. I still don’t trust you. You need me to trust you.”
“I need you to trust me,” she said firmly.
<You need Julian to trust you. Do whatever it takes to get Julian to trust you.>
He felt the Suggestion nudge at the surface of her mind for a few seconds before finally penetrating her. He felt her mind soak up his influence like a sponge. This was far greater a change than he’d ever anticipated being able to make. Had she not by under the influence of Hypnosis, he was pretty sure the Suggestion would have failed pretty hard.
Cock throbbing, Julian cleared his throat.
“What’ll you do to get me to trust you?”
Rila licked her lips nervously.
“Whatever it takes.”
Julian gulped. His manhood was rock-hard in his pants.
“Okay, here’s what I wanted to ask of you. Rila, whenever I and only I tell you to do something and then say ‘trust me,’ I want you to do whatever I said before without really thinking about it. Can you do that?”
Rila squirmed slightly, but her eyes remained glazed, firmly entranced.
“You said you’d do whatever it took to get me to trust you. Were you lying?”
“No, you can trust me,” she said, a hint of indignation in her tone.
“What will you do if I tell you to do something and then say the words ‘trust me’?”
She bit her lip.
“I… I’ll do what you said without really thinking about it.”
Julian gaped. He couldn’t believe she’d actually agreed.
“B-because you need me to trust you, right?” he fumbled his words.
“I need you to trust me,” she repeated, almost reverently this time.
“So whenever I tell you to do something and then say the words ‘trust me,’ you’ll do what I said without really thinking about it. Right?”
“Mhm.”
“Say it.”
“Whenever you tell me to do something and say ‘trust me,’ I’ll do what you said before and I won’t really think about it.”
Julian almost chuckled. He couldn’t believe it’d been this easy. Were all people so readily manipulated with a few low level Psion Skills? He doubted it. Rila had only discovered her class a few years ago and hadn’t done any questing, which meant the majority of the monsters she’d killed were as low level as the giant rats he’d killed earlier. Someone like Velri or Brynn who’d triumphed over much more powerful entities would surely be of much higher levels than he or Rila. Which reminded him.
“What level are you, Rila?”
“E-eight…” she said.
Julian blinked.
That’s it? Eight? I thought she had to be at least level ten. She must have really been slacking more in her training than she let on. Hm. Maybe that’s why she’s so worried about her initiation quest.
Something snapped in the back of his mind, like a cord had been cut.
Shit, is she waking up?
Rila blinked.
“Argh…” she palmed her face. Her eyes brimmed with awareness. They focused on him. He saw them linger on his face for longer than they should have. Rila licked her lips, staring at him as if in a trance. She shook her head.
“Big brother,” she muttered. “What… what happened? What are you doing down here?”
Her eyes widened in realization.
“The monsters. You’ve discovered your class haven’t you? Julian, you’ve actually discovered your class! Oh my gods, I’m right, aren’t I?”
“You got it, sis,” Julian put a hand on her shoulder. Rila glanced down at his hand, blushing faintly. “I’m… huh. I’ve pictured this conversation a thousand times, but I never thought it’d actually happen. I don’t think I’m ready to tell the others I’ve gotten a class yet. Can you keep it a secret, at least for a little while?”
Rila stared at him for a moment before opening her mouth.
Julian interrupted her with a snort.
“Why am I even asking you this? You can’t keep a secret. You’ll tell everyone the moment you get upstairs.”
He turned away from her and moved to the weapon rack, placing the sword where he’d found it.
“I-I won’t tell anyone. I promise! You can trust me.”
A pair of hands wrapped around his chest. A pair of big, soft breasts were smooshed against his back.
“I’m here for you, Julian. Please believe me. I just want to be a good sister for you,” she murmured into his ear. "I won't tell anyone..."
His cock throbbed.
“Oh gods! Julian, you’re hurt!”
“Hm?”
Rila disentangled herself from his back and grabbed his injured arm.
“Ow! Rila!” he hissed and tried to wrench his arm out of his sister’s grip.
She held on.
“Stop squirming, you idiot. I’m trying to help you!” Rila said. Her ocean-blue eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she stared at his wound.
“This is all my fault,” she whispered. “Okay, Julian, I’m gonna heal you. Just hold still for a few seconds."
Julian nodded.
Rila whispered a few unintelligible words. Her hands glowed white and hovered over his arm. The light wafted down against his arm, causing it to tingle. The pain there faded until it disappeared altogether.
“There. All done!” Rila smiled. She grabbed his arm again and spread the gash in his shirt where the giant rat had sunk its teeth in. “Looks good. Does it still hurt at all?”
“Nope,” Julian flexed his arm, staring at the now-unblemished skin. “That was pretty awesome. Thanks, sis.”
Rila chuckled. “That’s what I’m here for. Speaking of which, you still owe me an explanation for before.”
“Yeah. Let’s head up to my room. I don’t want Velri to see us down here.”
Rila nodded and grabbed his hand. “Lead the way, big brother.”
Julian smiled and led her upstairs.
