Cindy sighed with relief that Jonathan didn't wander off but was standing under the porte-cochère. "Hey, are you waiting for a taxi?

"No, just getting fresh Los Angeles air," he chuckled.

She stood next to him and both of them stared across the parking at the billboard of Julie promoting her reality TV show, Big Brother.

"I completely understand and sympathize of what you're going through with your mom," Cindy sighed.

"Oh?" he wondered, turning his head to look at her.

"I have a Chinese mom too, remember?" she laughed. "Do you know what she gave me for my twenty-ninth birthday?"

He shook his head.

"A wind up alarm clock!"

"Why a clock...?" he looked at her with confusion on his ruggedly handsome face.

"Tick tock! Tick Tock!"

He stared at her blankly.

"It was her less than subtle way of reminding me about my biological clock," she explained, "and I needed to give her grandchildren!"

"Ugh," he groaned, glancing back at the lobby doors and noticed his mother waving back at him. "Does your mother know about the Priapus Program?"

"Just that I'll be isolated for two years," Cindy nodded. "She wasn't happy about that."

"Does she know you'll be stuck with eleven other women and one guy?"

"No but I'm a hundred percent sure I'll hear an earful when she finally sees the show."

"Well, if it's any consolation we won't hear from our mothers for the next two years!" Jonathan chuckled.

Cindy giggled.

"Shall we go back to see if the rest of the group is ready?" he asked, offering his elbow to her.

"Sure!" she smiled and hooked her arms through his.

Iris grinned at the sight of her son and Cindy walking back into the lobby.
