Giving Janet the Good News (Leave Crimson Caravan)

Madeline found Red, or Janet as she was rightly known.

"Good news." Madeline said "You're free."

"What!?" Janet said in amazement. "You gotta be shitting me right?"

"No joke, here are your release papers." Madeline handed the still shocked Janet the papers.

"How the hell did you get McLafferty to let me go?"

"We came to an agreement."

"Good enough for me." Janet said "I...I guess I owe you a 'Thank You'"

"I'm just glad I could help. You can make it to Nellis safely by yourself?" Madeline inquired.

"I can. Long years on the roads hasn't made me a doll in one of the casinos. Besides...I'll hitch a ride that way then split off. Say--do you wanna go with me? Will be safer in numbers." Janet asked, eager to go with Madeline rather than alone.

"Sure." Madeline nodded "I need to get back to Nellis anyway. Better safe than sorry right?"

Janet shook her head still shocked with everything.

"I can't believe this is really happening. Like something out of a fairy tale or bed time holovid."

"I'm sure you two will be very happy." Madeline said with a genuine smile.

The two left the next day and after some time of travel with a caravan bound for Hoover Dam the pair split off back to Nellis Airforce Base. Madeline was able to communicate with the Boomer guards signal that the pair were friendly thanks to Janet's bomber jacket.
