Dinner!

“Hey Wendy are you sure you don’t need any help with the groceries? I feel kinda bad letting you do all the carrying”

“John the doctor told you to take it easy, just let me carry them, it’s just a few trips you can stock the fridge and organize it while I bring them in.” She suggests

“Yeah ok that would make me feel better.” I quickly grab 4 bags without her realizing and run upstairs with them before she notices. Huh all produce perfect. Wait isn’t this Wendy’s birthday cake?

“God damn it John! I told you I got it.” she giggles “you really don’t like to stand around do you?”

“Yeah it just makes me feel bad letting you do all the work while I’m perfectly heathy enough to help. Also isn’t this your cake?”

“Wait that is! I think your dad must have brought it over, I put it in my fridge right before I left with you. Guess we can have it after dinner. Anyway, you’ll just wait here and let me bring everything in.”

“Hmmm, how about no.” Quickly trying to dance around her but she notices and wraps her arms around me

“Gotcha! Now I know you don’t want to hurt me, so no sudden movements.” She giggles “seriously just stay here, if you do I have a small surprise for you before bed. I want you to relax.”

“Alright alright I’ll be a good little boy and just stock the fridge.”

She giggles “good, I have a surprise for you later.”

Sighing, knowing that I won’t convince her to help, I start to organize the fridge and all the produce putting them into sections while Wendy puts more by my feet. as I finish up, Wendy brings in the rest in “oh you actually waited here, oh wow good organization!”as she pants

“Thanks.” I smile and give her a quick kiss “are the dinner ingredients in this bag?” Pointing at the last bag

“Yeah I’ll start to make dinner after a little break running all those flights of stairs is tiring.”

“I told you to let me help! Now your exhausted!” I frown

She smiles “thanks for worrying about me. But I’m fine I just need a little break.”

I walk over to her on the bed “ well, perfect for a quick cuddle session than.” She giggles and we cuddle for a quick 5 minutes with a few kisses thrown in.

“Alright I’ll make dinner than.” Giving one final kiss and getting up to make dinner. If I need any help I’ll ask. Just sit there and play a video game or something.”

“Naaahh, I’ll help you with the prep while you make the pasta.”

“No you won the bet, you go relax I can handle this.”

Starting to already chop the onions. “This is thanks for carrying everything up here without my help.”

“Alright fine, but when I start cooking, just relax. If you don’t I will physically bound you to the bed.” She giggles

“Sounds good to me.” Chuckling along

After finishing cutting the vegetables and seasoning the beef. I finish while she finishes up making the pasta. “Thanks babe, Just go relax now.”

“Yeah I’m actually kinda tired. I’ll just play some Mario kart and relax”

“Alright, dinner should be ready in an hour and a half”

After half an hour, she assembles everything and throws it in the oven, taking off her apron and plopping down next to me. “Phew, now after that bakes dinner is ready.”

“Oh man, I can not wait to try it out, let’s see how much you improved since that first time you made me cookies” I pull her in

She giggles “I was 12 ok! I didn’t know how to make anything, I just thought if I dump everything in and bake it it would work.”

“Ah yeah, that was nice” I give a quick kiss also giggling a bit. “Don’t worry, you can make it up some other day. So you want to play a quick few games?” Handing her a controller

“You’re going down!” She smiles and grabs it

After a few rounds and alternating between winning and losing, the oven finally beeps. “Dinner’s on!” Come on let’s eat.”

Helping her set up all of two plates with a board after a surprising amount of convincing needed, we get two portions and start to eat.

After the first bite, wow that was amazing! Everything is perfect, the flavours, the stringy cheese and the nice soft pasta. “Wendy this is amazing! It’s one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.” Scarfing down around half of my portion really quickly.

She blushes, “your just saying that! But thank you, I cooked it with lots of love.” She giggles

“Oh wow.” Eating the last bite before she had half. “Wendy that was almost as good as the sex we have.” I laugh and thankfully, she giggles “well than, that was definitely a good complement than. Glad you like it” giving a quick kiss.

After eating, and just spending the rest of the day doing some miscellaneous chores It was finally time to sleep.
