A game plan for Vignesh to hook up with Ruby

“So, what did you two think?” you ask, walking up to Vignesh and Ruby. “Tough quiz, huh?”

“It wasn’t so bad,” Vignesh says, smiling at the girl of his dreams. “Especially since I had such a great partner.”

Ruby shrugs, deliberately ignoring Vignesh’s comment.

“I think I got a good score,” she says. She’s packing up her stuff in a hurry, obviously wanting to get out of here.

“But Vignesh is a smart guy, he must have helped a lot,” you comment.

“Yeah, sure,” she says noncommittally, heading for the door.

You lean over to Ruby dramatically, declaring in a faux whisper: “And he’s pretty hot too, dontcha think?”

“Uh… is this a weird dare or something?” she says, looking at you with a frown.

“No, no, I’m being totally serious,” you say, backtracking.

“I’m free for the next couple hours!” Vignesh blurts out.

Ruby shoots the two of you a strange look, and then hurries out of the classroom, leaving you with a rather disappointed-looking Vignesh. He stares at her receding figure, the magnetic sway of her ass attracting both your gazes, and then he lets out a dejected sigh.

“She’s just not into me,” he says glumly.

“Yeah, I don’t think this one was going to work out,” you reply.

“And now I’ve blown my chance,” he says. “I’m switching out of this class and I’m never going to see her again.”

“Hey man,” you say, clapping him on the back. “It sucks, I know. But it’ll pass, and soon you’ll be over her and chasing better girls. Just don’t get too beat up over it.”

“I guess so,” he says, not sounding at all confident about it. “It took all my bravery just to try to ask her out, too. Who knows when I’ll find that again?”

“It’s all mental,” you say, tapping your temple. “Just got to suck it up and keep going.”

“Yeah,” he nods, and then sighs again. “Oh well. Guess I’m going to treat myself to an extra nice lunch now.
