Revelations

It's late and you've finally finished your classes. You quit the classroom only to see Penny and Ashley waiting for you.

"Sorry girls I have something to do this afternoon, please get home without me."

"Why? We can't just go with you?" Penny is grabbing your t-shirt, she's really cute but you need to go meet Jessica alone.

"Sorry Penny, we'll see each other tomorrow." Ashley seems to have already resigned herself, only waiting for Penny to do the same.

"It's unfair! I want to go with you!" You sigh.

"I can't today. If you want we can spend some time together tomorrow."

"A date?" Her eyes are sparkling.

"Yes, a date."

"Just us two?" You look at Ashly waiting for her approval. She nods.

"Sure, just us two." She's jumping with joy. They then leave you alone.

You wait a minute or two just to be sure that they're really gone. You then move to the back of the building, you're pretty sure there's a backdoor somewhere around here... You find it and you end up in the silent space behind the school, Jessica is waiting for you, bathing in the few rays of light passing through the architecture.

"Hello John."

"Hey Jessica... What did you want to talk about? Why are you avoiding me?" She looks at my face with hesitation.

"Listen John, we shouldn't be friends. I don't get along with your friends."

"Did something happen with Ashley and Penny?"

"John, Ahsley threatened me... multiple times already."

"What? Why?" What did Ashley do?

"You know she's jealous right? Well she doesn't like us talking together. And she came back to threaten me yesterday because she thinks I cooked you a meal."

You think about it for a second. Ashley isn't that kind of girl, she's kind and passionate. She might get angry sometimes but it's always justified and not for very long.

"Jessica, you're sure you're not a little paranoid? I mean, Ashley is a kind girl!" You hear the bushes move, there's quite a lot of wind today.

"John, I'm sorry but she's not kind with everybody, remember how she was with you before you got together?" You think back to the time she was ready to beat you up in Benjamin's place a week ago. She wasn't very amicable back then.

"O-okay I believe you. I'll talk to her. Please can we keep being friends? You're my first real friend since forever." She looks at you, doubtful of what you could do by simply talking to Ashley.

"Listen John, if you mess up, she won't just threaten me anymore. And I tried to hold back but if something ends up happening... I won't hold back." You gulp, Jessica is smart, she could do irreversible damage to Ashley if she wanted to.

"I promise I'll try my best. Please try to make up with her too. If there's any issue you can just ignore me like before. Deal?" You bring your hand and she looks at it.

"Deal." She grabs your hand in agreement. She then gets closer, and you feel like she's trying to be friends again.

"I saw you were quite active on the forum." she startles you.

"H-How do you know? It's anonymous." She grins.

"Come on John, you really think anything is anonymous when I'm involved? I made this site, I have the logs of each IP that ever visited it." You freeze.

"You made it? You know everyone's identity?"

"Sure, how do you think I can put out a journal every weekday? I had to create a way for information to spread, while I could know if the person posting was legitimate."

You laugh nervously. So she knew everything you wrote...

"Hey no need to make this face. You're a big pervert by the way. I wasn't expecting you to describe your girlfriends making out to everyone."

You blush so hard you feel like you're the reason for climate change.

After a few more minutes of discussion, you leave, you feel like a weight has been removed. You still have to talk to Ashley about her behavior but that should be easy, seeing how loving she is with you and Penny.

You return home with a smile, maybe things are getting better.
