The atmosphere changed as the girls pressed their way forward into the club, becoming oppressively humid. The place was packed with beautiful people, and the girls exchanged wide-eyed smiles. Ashley exchanged a thumbs-up gesture with the enthusiastic bachelorette before glancing back at the doorway, where the two young women who had been waiting in line behind them were gesturing and pleading with Rodney. The blue-eyed brunette glanced at Ashley pleadingly.

"Oh, hey, Rodney," Ashley interjected, returning to the scene. "Yeah, there with us, too." The girls nodded eagerly in agreement.

The doorman glanced down at his clipboard, brow furrowed, and cast a suspcious glance at Ashley. "You better not be taken advantage of my good nature, girl," he warned gravely, then cracked a smile and waved the two through. "Have fun, and I'll see y'all later!"

"Thanks, mate!" the brunette called in a crisp English accent as they passed the coatcheck. "My name's Alison, I reckon I owe you a drink!"
