“Father there’s a few things I wish to discuss with you” finding him in the in home theatre watching, wait is that -? Ah I guess he still misses mother.

“Oh hey John I’m just watching the princess bride again, I guess I still miss your mother.” Smiling softly with some tears in his eyes.

“Yeah I miss her as well. You have the records of people with debts and which company has those loans?”

“Oh yeah I already got them ready for you when you went to the young miss’s house. I don’t think you’re going to like it though”

Ah shit, this doesn’t sound good. Wait it could be the mafia. “Is it the mafia or something like that?also I think we also need to discuss Wen- I mean the young miss’s contract I think she deserves a raise father.”

“Oh no no, it isn’t the mafia, It’s owned be Tabitha’s dad, and he told me that Tabitha wanted to take over the company for some reason.”

Tabitha? Oh for fucks sake.

“How long? When did she take the company?”

“6 years ago? I don’t remember it was around when the young miss started working for us. Also I’ve been thinking of giving her a promotion. I’ve also found another maid so after her day off tomorrow, she’s going to no longer be the family maid.”

Fuck fuck fuck. Wendy needs the job. But she’s getting a promotion? Is she working for our company?”

“Father? What are you talking about why is Wendy not our maid anymore?”

He chuckles noticing that I’m a bit concerned “oh yeah I know how close you guys are, so the thing I was going to talk about earlier was that I think it would be better with being your personal servant instead.”

“Wait really father? Thank you so much! Oh yeah I’ll still need the files.” Wendy working for me? That’s a dream come true!

“Yeah also son I have a bit of bad news. I might be joining your mother soon.”

What? But how? He’s so young! “Wait what father? How?! You’re still so young! I don’t think I can lose you as well.”

“Yeah I don’t have that long left, stage four leukemia. I might only be alive for a few years left and that’s only because I can afford the medicine that slows down the cancer and you know how to run the company and everyone in board agrees you can take over.”

“So is this why you wanted to have me marry Tabitha? You wanted me to have someone there with me when your gone?”

“Yeah pretty much but I can see that you love Wendy and she loves you, so hopefully I can see this you guys marry before I pass.” chuckling

Ah shit my face is probably red now. “Wait did you say marry? I don’t know about that… I mean she’s the maid.”

“Ah you guys are cute together also why do you think you don’t know your grandparents? Your mother was also the maid” laughing quite loudly “We’ll talk about it later, go talk to the young miss she’s a great gal.”
