Kim, you look taller!

Hannah is about to laugh at Alice for saying something so silly, but then she notices it too.

"Kim, you do look a few inches taller!"

Kim quickly dismisses this idea, but then reconsiders it. The dream wasn't real, but maybe there was some meaning to it? And had she been so clumsy because she wasn't used to her height? Maybe she had problems with her clothes because they didn't fit properly? Now that she thought about it, even though she was wearing very loose clothes, they did feel tight.

"I'll get a measuring tape. You're usually 5 foot 8. I want to see how tall you are now."

You pass your mother on the way into the kitchen as you come down, late as usual. She would nag you for this normally, but today she has other things on her mind.

You enter the kitchen and Kim gives you a big hug, quickly followed by Alice. Alice was just relieved to see you, but Kim felt guilty about her weird dream and wondered why you were in it.

"Will, where were you yesterday?" Kim asks, with urgency in her voice.

"Oh, I was at a friend's house"

"You should have called! We were worried about you! Mom almost had the police looking for you!" Alice shouts, her anger slightly tempered by the happiness at seeing you again.

Before you could get grilled for further information on your trip away from home, your mother comes back with the measuring tape. She informs you that Kim seems to be taller but talks as if the idea were absurd. Since you know more than she does, you don't doubt it for once second, although you're disappointed that everything isn't completely normal. You shrunk, and now Kim has grown?

Your mother measures Kim, and sure enough, she has grown. "Six feet exactly. Taller than you, Will."

It was undeniable and you could plainly see she was taller than you even without measuring. You're a little peeved that she's still bigger, but at least now it's only by a couple of inches.

Kim is completely overwhelmed by this. How could she grow 4 inches overnight? Is she going to grow any more? What did that dream have to do with it. What did Will's disappearance and his presence in the dream have to do with it?

And most importantly, how is she going to use her new height?
