You realize, you would rather not sleep.

You had been tossing and turning for almost 10 minutes trying to find a spot for which to place all your body parts between the three ladies that had been holding you. Although it's been a pretty long day so far, you finally realize you can't sleep. Your not entirely sure what it is but something in you prevents you from doing so. You start to think about this and that for a bit, but right as your about to drift off from finally clearing your thoughts and close your eye's you start to feel something.

Your body shifts a little, you feel your shoulders and head press up against Pam more, and your arms and legs are even more in the way. You look down at your arms and realize some how your body went back to what seems to be the new size. Before you would stand at about 6 and half feet, thou now you mostly stand at almost 7 if not 7 feet. You start to wonder with the form and shape your body is in now if you should try out for a sport, your mind is just playing tricks on you thou as a whole in this regard. All though a lot of your reflexes have improved with the general change you have under gone the fact still remains no matter what shape your body is in your not much of a sports person.

You realize your not really a monster, your just kinda tall for yourself and everything as a whole. You start to wonder how to explain this to your family, or if you can get some kinda of note from an on site doctor that can inform your family that some how you had a few delayed growth spurts or something. You finally get frustrated with your mind and your body and the whole just laying here and you let out a HOWL, it's a long drawn out howl. Your body slowly shifts from, human to wolf the fur returns. The mixed Eye colors, and the Silver blue fur with a bit of a more white underbelly. You of course realize that your size as a wolf is now like that of the saber tooth cat and you let out a groan. It's also clear the thicker then normal fur around your neck is more like the mane from the saber tooth, but it's more with the color of the wolf or the current form then anything else. You can tell this because you can see the edges of it when you look down. And you are pretty sure it mostly looks a light since you know when a lot of dogs are growling there fur stands on end and puffs up. And it just looks to everyone that the fur around your neck is almost always like that, so clearly it's thicker then before. You shrug as you touch it, and you notice the girls are all looking at you now.

You let out some air and just say " I could not rest, I don't know what it was. But I was restless next thing I know my body expanded to what it was as a saber tooth, I think I need you to contact your mother Lisa and make sure she gets new measurements and stops making anything she is working on."

Lisa nods and gets on the phone to explain things as Petra, lets out a howl of her own but it seemed more of laughter then anything. Pam looks at you up and down and just nods her approval. And Abby feeling left out lets out a howl to return to the form she seems to prefer.

You just nod and say " I am sorry if I am crowding the bed more then I had before, I might have to require a larger bed since I get the feeling this one was meant only for a few females and the me that use to be only ever so much bigger then average."

Petra looks at you worried and asks " Alex, your no longer a size for which most Humans might call you normal. I guess it would be fair to say, your not really human any more?"

You shrug and say " I guess it means, I have to be careful what I turn myself into. I have to be careful with the DNA pills and as a whole. Or else I might end up turning myself into a giant. And then I would end up dying from of all things a weak heart and gravity."

Petra laughs and says "Your the size of an Animorph your physical changes reflect many of that of which we are selves have to support are own bodies. And you some how expect your heart to give out? Alex, think about this a second. Your heart is as big as it needs to be, meaning no matter what size you are your heart will be fine."

Pam thinks for a second and says " If you compare what your body looks like compared to the first time I meet you Alex, you will notice that as a whole. Your muscles are bigger and stronger. Your quite a bit bigger then that first time as well, heck the new you from just turning into a saber tooth from your wolf form is quite striking as in the difference in size. And that mane, it does not seem to want to go away."

You shrug and nod and say " I get the feeling some parts of whatever happens to me from this carry over slowly, just look at my hair for instance. It does the same thing when I am in that human form. Thou I got to say its one of the few things that have stayed the same."

Abby shakes her head and says " It's gotten bigger to fit your new form better, but other then that your right it is the same as a whole."

You stretch your arms and say " Lets just go for a run or something, in less one of you has something on your mind."

Abby nods and says " there are a lot of things in this shop that mimic real life, you would be surprised there is even a cafe and a number of other styles of business. There mostly used to teach Animorphs how to interact with the world. Thou they are still nice places to see with in the shop I would think, I use to leave the shop to go to places like that but ever since I got more use to me and this form and the Animorphs I think it might be a good activity. Plus it would allow you to take me on a date."

Petra makes a face and says " He never took me on a date."

You shake your head and say " What do you think the run in the field and the playing in the swimming pool was? I mean if you want to get technical."

Petra nods and says " It was kinda fun."

You turn to Abby and say " There is kinda a lot of us to consider what you asked a date."

Abby shrugs and says " It's alright honestly, I know they are going to be around you no matter what happens a lot of the time anyway."

You nod and Lisa says " Mother said she will be by later to get new measurements and that she is happy that she has not started on any of it because her assistance are occupied. She also wonders how you managed it, but at the same time she kinda does not want to details because she was in a hurry. It seems some free time activity she wanted to take part in is happening soon and she said she would be by later. She said something about never having much free time before hanging up."

You just nod and say " I just hope she knows I am sorry that I have taken so much of her time already."

Lisa frowns and says " It's no trouble, do you think she could be upset with you well you are looking after me so she can get some free time?"

You shrug and say " Well, if it's ok with all of you lets go get some more things to eat maybe?"

Pam finally says " My mother often sent me to the cafe's thou she did it for me to learn things like service. Service to myself and service to others, had something to do with learning to put up with it or something. She had been hoping I would not turn out like a lot of the other Feline type Animorphs. Many of them are self centered, I seriously doubt you would have liked that every much Alex if I had turned out like that."

You shake your head and say " I don't do self centered, or a number of other things. I don't mind needy." You say that as if to poke Petra in the ribs but she clearly did not get it.

The five of you get up to go, Abby seems to be leading the way this time as you go out the door.

(I think now might be the best time to explain how this works mostly. You see when Alex or Abby or Petra or anyone takes DNA Pill, the transformation with a DNA pill is often done over a few days. And it can last between 24 and 48 hours before you slowly return back to normal, the only main affects of the DNA pill is the fact that most harmful diseases are destroyed when transforming. And Your old scars are often removed from your body when you return to normal. Also the DNA Pill can affected things as well, for instance. When suggesting that the pill can fix old scars, I mean complex things like even missing eye's or legs or arms. It's one of the reason's it normally takes so long to take affect, general medical applications for it are through the roof problem is. Many people would have issues with the ethical issues of turning one self into something else to regrow a body part and then return back to normal. Now in your instance, and that of Petra and Abby. And others, the shift makes the hair on your body more course and it thickens til it's fur. Somethings this happens slowly sometimes it happens fast, and the three of them can control color and all kinds of things depending on how Alex behaves or howl or whatever it is that really controls the shift. One of the reason's one might suggest that the physical form for Alex and the others stays about the same is to allow them to change forms without having to change size or mass often. Because of this, it could explain why when he tried to return to the size increase he had of a wolf after a whole he sling shot back to that of the saber tooth cat. Now for him the shifting and his over all body and affects, he is mostly one of the most healthy humans on earth besides the whole shifting into animal form thing which many might see as a disease. Because the abilities he holds with in his body helps to mitigate sickness better, and his organs an other body parts have new cell growth each time he shifts and it's part of the reason he gets tired or has to eat so much. In the case of Alex, and Abby and Petra, chances are Alex could live to be as old as at least some of the Animorphs if not older. And the Females mostly have a bit greater life expectancy then even he does. Fact is, at this point we do not know if the main character and the females will age like an Animorph or a Human. But this much can be said, most of the original people who helped formed the project and create the Animorphs did not die from natural causes but accidents. And it was mostly a day to day life thing as a whole.)
