Chapter 52

How does the morning before the presentation go?

Prepared to Go!

Alexa's eyes had shut, but her mind was too preoccupied on thinking about work to truly get a restful sleep. When Carol shook her a bit, Alexa was up and standing in a shocking amount off time. Rubbing her eyes, Alexa thanked Carol, and started to head to the bathroom. Curlers bouncing cutely in her hair, she made into the bathroom, pulling her nightie off, before Carol came in.

"Lexi, you have to take your curlers out. Here, I'll do it. You get your diaper off." Carol said, working the curlers around slowly but surely as Alexa untapped her diaper and let it hit the ground with a thud. By the time Carol was finished, Alexa's hair had become even more curled, cutely mixing with her bangs to frame Alexa's face beautiful. Picking up Alexa's wet diaper and putting it in the the pail for her, Carol spoke up to the girl who was rubbing her eyes in exhaustion.

"You also need a shower cap, or you're going to ruin your beautiful hair. Here." Carol said, helping Alexa to put the rubber duck covered cap over her bountiful curls. Not so much as speaking, Alexa hopped in the shower with Carol's assistance, beginning to clean and shave (what little body hair she had) herself and finally wake up to the world. Carol took a few brief glances back, looking through the shower curtain to see Alexa's petite figure slowly awaking and lightly singing.

Alexa showered till she felt fully alive, and then some. Stepping out of the shower, she dried herself off, ready to get changed into a pair of clothes. Heading to her bedroom with a pink towel wrapped around her, she called out to Carol, but received no reply. Heading downstairs, she called again, with Carol in the kitchen humming away.

"Hey, I was ready." Alexa said, eyes meeting Carols. A smile covered her face, and she nodded, following Alexa back up the steps.

"Alright, lay down on your mat." Carol said, having brought Alexa's changing supplies from her room into Lexi's. Alexa consented, more things on her mind then a diaper change. Q1 results indicated what? she quizzed herself.

Carol got a great look at the starkly nude Alexa, realizing she truly had nothing up top, not even mosquito bites. She had seen much of it when they got a massage, but it was finally dawning on her that it was nothing in the slightest. Looking at the developing redness around Lexi's bottom, Carol felt a proud mom moment in the fact that she had caught it, even after all these years.

"Your rash is going to become worse before it becomes better. But, it'll be much less time like that then if we had done nothing." Carol said, finishing up with her process of changing Alexa. Alexa gave a passive nod, biting her lip as she thought. "Let's get you dressed like a businesswoman Lexi."

Getting dressed took about the same time as getting her diaper changed, with Alexa doing quite the same amount of work. Carol got the camisole on, helped Alexa get her slacks on, tucked in the blouse, pulled over the suit jacket, and helped her tie her shoes. Alexa wasn't acting like an invalid, but Carol could tell she certainly had something on her mind. When they were done, Alexa stood in front of the mirror, shocked at how well the outfit looked. For once, she didn't look cute; she looked like a serious businesswoman.

"Just wait till we get your makeup on. Now, come with me." Carol said, pulling Alexa along by the hand. A quick makeover session followed, with Alexa unusually squirmy during it. Light dusting of this, a coating of that, blending...tada. Putting her glasses on to see the results (and feeling the shwoer cap finally taken off), Alexa looked at the mirror in shock. With the makeup, she looked amazing. Like an adult. Like she deserved to look.

"Carol, thank you so much. I look amazing" Alexa said, nearly smooshing her face into Carol's chest for a hug.

"Stop, stop. You're gonna ruin my work." Carol said, giving Alexa a hug from behind instead, with her breasts pressing right into the girls back. "Now, let's get you some breakfast and ready for your first day of preschool."

"Uh huh, and let me go grab your walker old woman..." Alexa said, her previous serious, distant attitude broken down by the well timed joke.

Breakfast was amazing, with Carol making the nervously eating Alexa two stuffed omolette's and some hashbrowns. Scarfing it all down, Alexa drank her second cup of coffee, twirling her hair a bit with fidgeting nervousness. Carol gave Alexa the last remaining bacon and hashbrowns, and sat down herself to enjoy a light breakfast.

"You're a nervous eater. Hell, you've been nervous the entire morning Lexi." Carol said, after witnessing Alexa tap her fingers on the table for the millionth time. "Listen, you're gonna kick ass today. Worrying won't solve it."

"Thanks Carol. I'm ready, it's just like my mind wants me to know every minute detail." Alexa replied, stopping her finger tapping.

"You got it." Carol said, taking the dirty dishes from Alexa, who stood up with a purpose.

"I had a question for you. If I need a change throughout the work day, um, what should I do. Not that I'm going to wet or anything, I'll try my best to make it." Alexa asked, fidgeting with her slacks.

"Oh, I was planning on meeting you for lunch and changing you then. I can pack you something if you want to enjoy lunch by yourself..." Carol said, looking a bit sad at that prospect.

"No, no, that's completely fine. I just wanted to make sure, that's all." Alexa replied, getting a clear smile from Carol. "I'll definitely try not to have an accident."

Carol took the comment a bit and asked herself if that was true. Pulling Alexa out to the car, she realized at the door she was still in only her sweatshirt. Throwing on a pair of sweatpants, she headed out to Alexa fidgeting with the booster seat, looking confused by the belts.

"I think I got it. No worries." Alexa said, giving a thumbs up.

"You didn't. In fact, I think you messed it up so badly you might have to walk." Carol said, in mock horror. "Hold still, you put that belt in..."

It took a few minutes, but Carol had fixed Alexa's little adventure with the booster seat. All the while, Alexa felt just a bit embarrassed to have messed up a kids thing, and that Carol's chest, hidden by the sweatshirt, bounced in front of her.

"Alright Ms. Grabby hands, leave it up to the smart people to do your booster seat." Carol said, tapping her head. "Now, where were we going?"

Alexa felt her phone buzz, and she saw it was her boss.

"Ms. Johnson, I'm glad we could talk before your presentation." Mr. Yawena said over the phone, sounding puffed up, yet nervous.

The two briefly spoke up Alexa's plans, and the end of the phone call drew near.

"What did I once tell you, Ms. Johnson?" His voice asked in all seriousness.

"Act like the adult I want to be treated like?" Alexa asked. It wasn't once that he asked, it was every damn time he ever spoke to her.

"You're the first person to remember my quotes in a long time. I'm touched." The old man said, a bit of hope stirring in his heart. "You'll do great Ms. Johnson. I'll be watching."

The line went dead, and Carol pulled into the parking lot of the company. Helping Alexa from her booster seat, she gave the girl a pat on the diaper, and a light hug, stopping her from going in and ruining her makeup.

"You got it. Give 'em hell." Carol said, pushing Lexi from the butt towards the front door. Watching the girl walk in, she felt quite proud to have given the girl even a minor bit of confidence. Alexa disappeared into the imposing tower, and Carol left the parking lot, both feeling better.

Any problems on her way up to the conference room?
