The Elder is the first to speak.

She draws close to you, and touches your face and teeth and paws. She as before is still in a kneel as if to show respect, she smells you here and there and even thou you had shifted from the wolf. She can still smell the true nature of your spirit on you, but at the same time she seems to really take interest as she inspects this form of yours. She draws a paw over your body, touching each muscle as they connect to one and the next. As her paw runs over them, it feels to you like she is chasing the out line of your bones just to make sure she understands really what she thinks she does. Her paw runs down your face to your neck to the shoulder, then down the arm to the paw that she draws into her hand and looks at. As she does this, she runs her other paw up the under side of the arm and down the chest and up over to your spine and down toward your ass, legs and tail. When her paw reaches the tail one runs over it's outline as the other goes over your ass and leg.

The Elder stops, sniffs the air a second and says " You remind me of my Grand Father or Grand Mother, My mother and Father. Had showed me this kind of thing when I was younger, they told me the feelings of someone like you and or any Animorph could mostly affect are form. They said if we felt in are heart, something deep and we voiced it as well as we could. If someone like them was listening, we could help or even prove a change in them. They said often that it was hard to change from there nature to far, they had many methods they normally used but this was one of the easiest."

You nod and simply say " My feelings and or the intent of a young Animorph in her excitement had turned her human for just a moment, with this change you proved in me I am wondering if I am now stuck with this size even if I become human again or a wolf. It could be troublesome because I was getting some clothing made."

The Elder raises her hand and says " Your form is whatever you wish it to be, if you don't like this size. Then don't return to it when you leave this form, as for you I have been waiting for the return of the ones like my eldest realities. I had smelled you as all the others had, thou my interest was of my own to just to prove what I had learned so long ago was true. I am sorry for luring you here and changing your form to prove old acts that I had grown wondrous of as I aged. You see my parents had not the ability to do it, thou it had been rumored some of the second generations could do it. They did not feel it in there souls to change, so you suggesting that a recent Animorph was able to change her form to Human. Would suggest it depends on each of us not just the level of are lines from the start to now. The young one is not this one is it?" As she says it she points at Lisa.

You shake your head and say " She is the different then the others, some might say she is a first generation. You see she was built and designed rather then, breed. She is a little special as a whole, her owner missed her beloved dog, and her dead daughter and this one was formed from that."

The Elder nods and says " a noble thing the shop has done returning pieces of two in one for the love of an older woman to hold onto, special bond that one is. She might as one have the ability if she were able to witness the other, who cares for you so much Alex, to end up like you the real you or her mother. Her mother was human correct?"

You nod and say " How do you know that?"

The Elder smiles and says " I see things, patterns and history. I keep track of things, and Pam here also sees things and she saw a little one who had bonded to you quickly. She told me of the little pup and her mother, Her mother for human is also special to have sensed the difference in you. As an Animorph many human females might feel drawn to you but, few would notice a smell or difference in you."

You nod and say " There is another like me in the shop if you did not know already, Abby."

The Elder makes a pained face for a second and says " Her feelings cloud her mind, she senses strange things. She is close and far from all of us, she feels pain when she is around us."

You shake your head and say " I helped her turn into an Animorph without the help of a DNA pill, she now is able to control it on her own thou it drains her greatly as of yet to shift on her own. Same with Petra, so I use my feelings to help them. It feels like connected spirits or at least the feel one gets when another is calling to you makes it easier. Much like you did for me today."

The Elder smiles yet again and says " Your unsettled heart and your need to protect allows for great marvelous things, but I must let my little one here talk."

You look at Pam and then at the Elder and ask " Pam is one of yours, making her a fourth? how had they allowed her to stay here with you for so long?"

The Elder smiles and says " I asked for one thing and it was to watch over her, when I felt you coming I had told her about you. She had taken her interest and went to you. But I also soon realized that if you picked her you would not be returning here soon and it might delay many things that need to happen here. It pained her greatly because of it but you can see how that work kinda right? Things have fate you her and I even this little pup you brought with you."

Pam then says " I help, my mother do the things she needs I am one of a few Animorphs who can be adopted that have been allowed a job. I watch after her, others also do but my job I run messages or thoughts to and from her to Max and staff. My mother could stay in the shop like the you or others, but she prefers it here with us. It allows her to watch over us, the others Alex. Did not know you had been called here to meet with her or they would have never bared there teeth at you no matter how you make them feel. That is the reason I had to come to you. I had to show them the Elder's will."

You just nod as the Elder then says " I know you might not think it or wish it or understand it, but I need you to take Pam with you. I talked to Max and he was pretty sure it might upset the little one you talked of. But at the same time I know the little one will have to learn to deal with it."

You shake your head a second and say " A big heart and a lot to protect is often important but how can you ask me to take her? I am already watching over two more females then normal as it is. One more might make it hard for me to keep up."

The Elder smiles and says " Pam wishes this, and if what I can tell about the pup with you. You have not denied a single wish any of the females have made of you. Be them human or Animorph, you like this little one are a bit different. You move with your feelings, and you understand the animal with in you and them better then you think."

You then ask " Even if I did what about Freya?"

The Elder smiles and says " She will get what she wanted, as much as she wanted to be close to you she wants to be closer to her little ones. Much like I wanted to be, and since she is going to be allowed to stay with them she will not need you as much as you might think. Max was saying something about it, but he did not make a huge point of it. Max felt that Freya got what she wanted, and since you tend to give to others. He would understand if you would pick another pet, after I explained the things I had foreseen to him. Thou I get that he most likely did not understand my vision til you went to him this after noon."

You shake your head and say " I have no idea why I went to him he simply told me to tell you, that you will get what you asked for. And I felt a little strange to carry a message from him I proved but can't remember how or why I went to see him in regards to it."

The Elder smiles and says " The Water howled to you, and you went on to tell Max of the importance of the room. It had roared at me, honestly the way for which it makes the sound. Is not unlike that of what you did when shifting from wolf to saber if you where to ask me. It might be one of the reason's you did it so easy."

As you listen and then ask " Would it not be bad to expose the Animorphs to this room? I mean it could trigger a transformation in them."

The Elder smiles again and says " Animorphs are of two souls, we have the Animal and the Human. They are not so much at odds with one and other as they are not at rest in all of us all the time. It takes time for many of us to learn to balance the aspects of the two." as she seems to think of what to say and then says " The room, if you quite the water, will have no ill affect against them other then allowing the water to mostly sing a song to each of them. The nature of water will bring a calming affect to them and allow them to be at peace so to speak. We each hear something different there, even the little pup there. She heard something but she is troubled because of how loud it is to what it might be. So all the more reason to calm the water and allow them to hear it."

Lisa realizing she had be talked to says " It feels to me like a space for which to nothing else is of matter or stress, thou the sound I hear is more of a drum but I think honestly it has more to do with my own heart beat as I listen to the water."

The Elder nods and says " All the more reason for us to calm the water, because then it might calm your heart and make the space even better for you."

Pam finally well still kneeling you notice, asks " So Alex? do I get to leave with you? I mean mother asked Max, and he said she is happy to get what she wanted. You might want to go talk to her, but other then that. Can I really go with you?"

The Elder hands you a Collar, you had for the first not realized Pam and the others and often the ones in the cafeteria when in relation to the Animorphs without a master. Did not have a Collar on, you look at Pam and at the Elder and then at Lisa.

You turn to Lisa and ask " Is it fair to one animorph for me to pick another?" About this time seeing the collar you realize you did not **** on your collar for some reason when shifting.

Lisa shakes her head but then says " You are a dominate or alpha the mane around your neck no matter what form you take proves this, if you wish to be with one instead of another. As far as most of us would see it's up to you, so if Max is sure Freya is mostly going to take well to it because she finally got to mate and have cubs, and because of things you may or may not have done. Will mostly be able to spend time with them. She should be happy, I know I would be even if I did not get to see you again." To prove it she comes up to and licks your face even thou you have the face of a cat, she is showing you that she still cares for you more then the form.

You take the collar from the Elder and say " Pam, if your sure this is what you want. I will take care of you and be with you so long as you want or should want to have that happen. I do ask you respect my right to decided a number of things but beyond that you are free to do as you like. You have been treated as your own person til now and I am not going to stop you from doing that now. I do ask thou that you also recognize the order of things and the females around me and fall in were you fit at first. I am sorry but it's the best I can suggest for now, I know that Petra will be rather upset. And I know Molly might be a bit disappointed in me."

The Elder talks again and says " Molly was with Max when he said this, she had spent a little time with Freya since she use to often. She feels with the cubs Freya will not feel alone and thus like a real bear she will be happy and at piece with them. One of the things Max never realized is many females depart after mating with the males, so in a case like yours Alex. If you mate with a female and leave, because you are mostly the most dominate male in the building most of the females who are akin to this. Will be use to your passing, like the little pup with you here. She might be ok with it as she voiced. But Molly and Petra, and even Pam or myself would want more contact after the fact. That is not to say that the little one here, does not feel the same thing but she can have it either way. And she clearly picked to spend time with you right?"

You nod and say " I guess I see the point, it might explain why Kamrin feels the need to come or go as she sees. And why Petra can easily dominate her in regards to her place in are group. Thou Kamrin is a human, and as for the little pup here, Lisa seems to be often more human then animal because of the contact with her mother and what I would figure to be knowledge of her creation. She voiced to me the will to want to turn human, so that her mother could see her daughter one more time and that she might be happy. She knows her mother is happy with her now, I can feel that but at the same time. She wants to make her feel better about the lost at least that is the feeling I get." As you say this Lisa rubs up against you and wags her tail a bit.

The Elder then says " I was right you do understand, the Animal in each of us better then most might expect."

You nod and add " My real issue is often with humans, there feelings are not often as easy to read. And there not normally this pleased to see me." As you reach down to scratch between Lisa's ears, as you realize she is still kneeling next to you.

You then take the collar the Elder gave you and place it around Pam's neck, and say " Well, I guess since your mostly in agreement with what I ask. And you understand what this will mean for you. You can come with me if you so do wish it Pam."

Pam just thinks for a second and then says " Yes, I would like that very much."
