It's just a bus ride away

Midvale Campus was only a short bus ride away from Jade's suburban town and the young woman didn't have to wait long for her ride to arrive as she clambered up into the bus. She smiled at the driver as she boarded the public transport, turning to wave at her friend Selene Young as she paid her fare.

"Morning girl! Enjoy your weekend?" Selene greets as Jade makes her way to her, her sapphire eyes lighting up merrily. Selene was no slouch in the looks department, her curvy body accentuated by her blank tank top and modest knee-length skirt. Her brunette hair was tied up nicely in a ponytail and her makeup was immaculate.

"It was good. Boring but good." Jade answers with a smirk as she plops down beside Selene. The two had been friends longer than they could remember, having been through High School together before making it onto college. Selene, Jade and Mike had been an inseparable trio.

"You and Mike not doing it yet?" Selene snickers as Jade blushes and smacks her friend indignantly.

"No! Mike wants to wait. He's sweet like that." Jade retorts.

"I get it but he needs to get off his feet." Selene rolls her eyes. She adored Mike's dorkiness but it was also grating for the outgoing girl. "I mean, you've got needs babe." She laughs.

Jade's blush deepens. Truth be told, she was feeling more than a little frustrated. She had fooled around a little in High School but that had been at least a year ago and she was beginning to understand why some girls said that hormones drove them crazy. She squirms in discomfort at this conversation. "Maybe... but I don't think it's a good idea to rush Mike."

Selene groans. "At this rate, you two would never bang until graduation." She shakes her head. "In any case." She changes the topic. "Mike's having a hard time, isn't he?"

Jade puffs in anger. "He is. The football team has it out for him for some reason." She gives a furious scowl. "Their captain is the worst human being on the planet, I swear."

"Jason Connors, right?" Selene frowns. "What is wrong with him anyway?"
