Leah's portrait window shrunk and joined the seven women at the bottom of the massive wall display and a pretty Chinese woman with dark shoulder-length hair and thick glossed lips and wearing big eyeglasses appeared.

The studio audience clapped.

"Um, hello," Natalie smiled nervously.

"Hi, Natalie!" Julie greeted. "How are you?"

"A bit nervous," she replied. "I never been on TV before!"

"Take a deep breath and just think of this as a video conference call," Julie assured her.

"Okay..." Natalie nodded.

"Leah mentioned that you work at JPL with Allison and her, what do you do there?" Julie asked.

"I'm an electronics reliability engineer on the next generation of robot rovers -- I verify the reliability of avionics, flight, electronic, data-handling, and motor control electronics systems and subsystems," Natalie answered excitedly.

"So I assume you won't be doing that during the project?" Julie wondered, not fully understanding exactly what Natalie's job entailed.

"Not so much avionics and flight control since we won't be on a real spaceship," Natalie replied, "but I'll help out Allison and Leah with maintaining the facility. I'll be Geordi LaForge!"

"He's the blind engineer with the visor?" Julie nodded, barely getting the Star Trek reference.

"Yes but even he could see how handsome Jon is!" Natalie blurted out with her cheeks turning red.

The studio audience laughed and clapped.

"Are you sure you can handle twelve girls for the next two years?" Iris leaned over to whisper to her son.

"I'm not so sure, Mom," Jon replied with a stoic smile.

"After the commercial break we will meet another engineer on the project!" Julie announced, looking directly into the camera.
