The doctor frowned and avoided your eyes, “I’m sure you are a very likable guy and will give good impressions to the other students. When the scanner comes in we can figure out the root of your power and keep a healthy balance of control and growth. Just because you haven’t shown any powers since we met doesn’t mean you don’t have any. Whatever you have is quite strong. Mastering whatever that is will be...difficult.”

“Impossible.”

Dr. Li wiped her eye, “Here are some clothes. Don’t rush yourself but when you are ready ask for Lisa at the door. She’s a classmate of yours and can show you around.”

You clench your fist. What a tragic day. For a short while you almost felt like you would be the top dog. The social king of school. But it was just another painful experience to happen wasn’t it. “What grade is she in? We in?”

Dr. Li’s lips shook before she hastily turned and walked away. Her compassion was appreciated but a bit odd from her of all people. She was very blunt about you being lackluster so why did she care? Unless she was hoping you were something special? After an hour nap you rise, dress and find yourself alone in the medical wing. Or well alone with the shivering girl at least.
