Lady Tremaine and everyone else moved to another room entirely leaving Ella standing alone. As Ella stood there silently, she suddenly heard an odd tinkling sound and then felt a wetness against her legs. Suddenly she smelled a horrible familiar smell as she looked down to see a puddle of urine under her and the cat scurrying away.

Ella looked horrified. It looked like she had wet herself! Ella didn’t know what to do. If Lady Tremaine came back... she would be furious and it would be absolutely humiliating if her guests’ caught her like that. But if she ran and tried to clean it up, she would only look more guilty and would get into more trouble.

Ella let out a whimper as she stood there squirming. “Oh Ella, what did you do?” She heard a voice behind her.

She stole a glance to see Anastasia standing behind her. Her eyes widened. “Ana, please,” Ella whispered. “Don’t say anything.”

Anastasia smiled. “Mother is going to be so mad at you. And the prince is just right over there. I think I should tell them what you did,” she said.

“No, Ana, please. It’s not what it looks like,” Ella whispered. “I’ll make it up to you. Please. Help me.”
