Chapter 5 by ambush444 ambush444

What's next?

Captive of the hunter

Some time later, Korak began to drift back into consciousness. It seemed like hours had passed, but he couldn't be sure. He still felt groggy from the blowdart ****, and feeling in his limbs began to slowly return.

He was laying face down on the jungle ground, and could hear the sound of a river nearby. Korak remained still, feigning unconsciousness until his strength returned, and until he knew more about his mysterious captor.

As sensation returned to his arms and legs, Korak realized his hands were tied behind his back. He quietly flexed his wrists; it felt like they had been bound with thin steel cables, which he could feel looped around his waist and torso, pinning his bound hands against the small of his back. He felt more cables looped around his biceps and shoulders.

Trying not to attract attention, Korak slowly twisted his body on the ground--his ankles were crossed and bound, and more steel cables were wound around his legs and knees, pinning them helplessly together. Korak flexed his arms and legs a little further, but to no avail--his captor had gone to great lengths to bind him securely, and the cables bit painfully into Korak's skin the harder he pulled against them.

As his senses slowly returned, he realized he was not alone. Korak listened to the footsteps of his captor nearby. Calm and unhurried. Korak realized the mysterious man was loading or preparing a boat of some kind. From the river sounds, he figured they were still less than a mile from the temple ruins. Korak continued to feign unconsciousness as the man loaded the boat with bags, supplies of some kind. The bound and helpless jungle lord hoped to learn something about his captor if he could, and kept quiet and still, pretending to still be knocked out...

Korak kept quiet and did not move as he pretended he was still passed out.

The mysterious hunter calmly loaded the boat.

Then he slowly walked towards Korak.

Korak kept his body limp and his eyes closed as the hunter lifted him up with suprising ease.

Carrying him over the shoulder the hunter carried him on board.

Carefully the mysterious tracker put the captured Jungle King on the deck.

Korak was laying face down on the deck as the hunter started the engine and the boat started to move.

Feigning unconsciousness Korak listened quietly hoping he would learn something.

However the hunter did not make a single sound as he skillfully piloted the boat over the river.

A hour went by and suddenly Korak heard the sound of a phone.

The hunter picked it up.

"Hello." he said with a deep calm voice.

It was the first time Korak had heard him say anything.

Howevever he could hear from the voice this man was calm.

Clearly this person was experienced and not panicked easily.

This made Korak even more aware of the hopelessness of this situation.

"Did you captured the ape-man?" a female voice asked.

Korak listened carefully at the voice of the unkown caller.

The female had a english accent and spoke sophisticated and with a hint of arrogance.

Korak calculated she was probably wealthy and used to giving orders and expecting them be carried out to the letter.

"Yes, I have him captured and tied down securely." the hunter spoke with his calm deep voice.

"That is good." the female voice said and Korak clearly recognized the features of aristocracy in her voice.

"I prepared a chopper to bring him to us. You should meet the chopper four mile down the river from where you are now."

Korak heard that she tried to sound calm but was unable to hide her excitement.

Whoever she was she was clearly looking forward to this moment.

"Understood ma'am I will be there quickly." the hunter spoke.

"Anything else?"

The women paused as she seemed to hesitate for a moment.

"Is he truly... was he hard to capture? Is he truly as magnificent as told?" the woman asked as she made no attempt to hide her excitement at all.

"Yes, he evaded some of my best traps, he is something I had never encountered before. I am sure you and your husband will be pleased." the hunter spoke as there clearly sounded some admiration in his voice for his captured prey.

"Oh that is great, I can not wait to get my hands on him and see for myself." the women said with a eager voice.

"You will be rewarded handsomely for your performance."

Then a click and she hung up.

Korak took a moment to process what he had just learned.

Some rich couple had hired this hunter to capture him.

And now they wanted him for some unknown purpose.

He thought about ways to escape but the steel cables were not allowing him any movement.

Suddenly he heard footsteps as the hunter slowly walked towards him.

Korak kept his body limp.

"I know you are awake." the hunter said with his deep voice.

I bet you heard that entire conversation.

As you now know some people are **** to meet you.

Korak tried to look at the hunter but the steel cables were so tight he could not turn around.

"What do they want from me?" Korak asked trying to sound defiant.

"No idea, I just wanted the challenge of capturing you." the hunter said.

Then Tarzan felt a cold sting in the side of his neck and he realized he got injected with a syringe.

He felt the warm breath of the hunter as he spoke.

"I think it is best if I keep you sedated untill you arive at your destination."

Korak tried to say something but black dotts appeared in his vision and within seconds darkness engulfed his mind and he was ****.
