To the pool.

Petra grabs onto your paw into her hand and runs off dragging you behind her, as soon as you get to the hall you realize everyone is starting to wake up based on the sound coming from almost every direction. It sounds like a small city and it seems to you for the first time since you got here you can hear every sound. It's almost painful you start to wonder why you are hearing things so loudly, you start to realize this is one of the only times where your dick has not been leading your path. As Petra drags you onward of course you have yet to learn the layout of the grounds and everything so it only makes sense. But as you move in the direction of which Molly had gone before you start to wonder, why more people or Animorphs don't get lost. But you start to pick up on one thing and he helps you focus out the sound and drowned it out. Some how you managed to pick up the scent of Molly, and it is helping you focus.

As the smell gets stronger, you grip Petra's hand as best as you can in your paw. Pull her forward with almost an urgency, Petra is thrown off her stride as you pull her after you. Your legs are larger stronger and more fit for the long strides your taking and she lets out a yelp to urge you to slow down.

You look down at Petra and simply smile and say to her " I am having some issues with the sound sorry little one, I smell your mother so I am trying to get us to her so that I can focus on her instead of the sound."

Petra looks a little hurt by what you say and asks " Why can't you focus on me as we walk? Would that not work Alex? She is fine were she is, I am sure she has found someone to keep her company well, you where giving me my reward!" You respond to what Petra says with a every loud Howl, your unsure what came over you but the idea someone else may be keeping Molly company has bothered you to no end.

Second Later, in a distance from you hear a loud soothing howl. Petra smiles and says " Mother says she is fine, don't worry and take your time." You of course look at the pup as she goes on to say " She says a couple of her friends are talking to her, she says she is enjoying the chance to catch up with them. Of all things without me over hearing things."

You look at Petra as she starts if she is telling you the truth, you had not yet learned to understand the messages you howl or hear so much as understand the feeling intended. So you understand the howl you heard, was Molly trying to calm you down. You look at Petra with amusement and ask " Did you really get all that from the the howl she gave off?"

Petra smiles and says " She said some other things but they where a little jumbled, with the sounds of other things. So I gave you as best what I could, I think she was just oddly singing a song. Or the statement she made was like a song, it's very hard to understand. I remember songs mother use to sing when I was young and it almost reminds me of that. So maybe she was trying to calm me as well?"

You smile at Petra and say " Well, that's a hell of a lot more of info then what I got. All I got was calm down, I am here."

Petra smirks and asks " Well, it seems your learning some."

You shrug and say " It's base feeling, it was not the full intent of the message based on what you said Petra." The little pup smiles as you come to some realizations about it.

Petra then says " You are learning Alex just as I am, but you learn fast of how my animal cousin's communicate. As you can tell even I have trouble with it, but maybe that's because others have a much harder time relating there intent into the messages they give off. When you howl its clear what your saying, it's often I am bigger then you hands off. Or this is mine stay away, or your in my space. Or simply a message of pleasure, or delight."

You shrug and say " I am male it seems like a pretty standard message for a male, thou the sounds I hear from you and your mother often are not as clear as the things I try to say I guess."

Petra just laughs at the complexity as she keeps dragging you in the hall and says " I wonder how many of the other humans besides the shop keepers or Animorphs even have any idea what you or mother or for that matter any Animorph says in the language of the wild cousin's. I have not asked my friends but they often have trouble with the messages sent by other Animorphs in that way. And some messages are much louder then they need to be. The distance from you and mother is not great, if we were not to be underground as we are because of the amount of space it would take otherwise. Chances are Dogs and other animals, the wild and domestic cousin's hear you for miles. Most of us tend to try to keep down the loud sound because as you are learning there is a lot of sound under here already, and many of us have a hard time find distractions for them."

You look at her and ask " Does the sound hurt your head like it does mine?"

Petra shakes her head and says " I like to hear it, as do many Animorphs but some wish they could hear it less often. It is the sound of family, but even so we don't always like to hear are family members."

You nod at Petra as you get to the pool, and say " I guess that is true, it can be painful to always be around your family. But it can also be of a benefit, you can often trust family so remember you have grown strong. You care about others and you are disposed to learn, I know most Animorphs are based on the ones, I have meet but. Dear little pup, your mother did well to pick you. Also you do know why I wanted to Run and Swim right?"

Petra smiles and says " I am not deaf you know, I listen to you. I believe you wanted to try out the strengths of your form to try and see and learn things about the changes you underwent. This way you learn more about me, from exploring your existence in this form. Just as I explore my existence from interaction with you Alex. I have to say this is a very interesting way to go about it, I wonder if Max knows or even considered that any human in the first day would explore an animorph as an animorph to understand them better." She makes a face as if she is pained considering this, like many idea's she forms as she interacts with you the ones that make her wonder of things she does not know seems to strike her with pain or fear. With that you kiss her on the forehead, and scratch her ears to calm her mind as you walk up to Molly.
