It’s a kid’s room

Alexa’s jaw dropped as she saw the pink wallpaper decorated with ponies and unicorns. The bed was a tiny pink bed that had Disney princess sheets. The carpet floor matched the wallpaper’s color.

Alexa placed her suitcase down next to the bed and then rushed out the room. “Mom! What is this?”

Juliette giggled a bit. “You wanted a room to yourself. The others are occupied by everyone else. Since they need to share the bed.”

Alexa blushed realizing she had been tricked. “Mom, please I don’t want to stay in a little kid’s room.”

“I’ll have you know that used to be my room,” Juliette said. “Come on, it’s just a few days, and you get your own room. What’s the big deal?”

“It’s embarrassing!” Alexa hissed.

Juliette shrugged her shoulders. “What, do I need to make you wear diapers or something?” Juliette teased. “Will that make you feel better about staying in a kid’s room?”

Alexa blushed even redder. “N-no! I don’t need diapers.”

Juliette laughed. “I know, I’m just kidding. Look if it really bothers you there is room with Faith and Amy. You can sleep in there instead of the kid’s room. It’s up to you. But if you want a room to yourself, that’s where you’re staying.”
