This is ridiculous. You pull out your phone and call Sarah.

"Hi Daniel." Sarah answers. "Are you coming to the party?"

"You really want me to humiliate myself in front of all your friends?" You ask.

"We just thought it would be a fun way to help us get past this." She insists. "I know you've been afraid to call me."

"Fun?" You ask. "Tanya said you never wanted to see me again if I didn't do this."

"Really?" She sighs. "I'm sorry. I didn't know she was going do that."

"So you aren't going to break up with me if I don't go to this party?" You ask.

"Of course not." She says. "But I will be disappointed if I don't get to see baby Daniel. I think you'd be adorable."
