Listen to Mr. Taggart

"Thank you all for gathering here today as requested, actually I think a few of you weren't invited,' Mr. Taggart says as he surveys the room before he coughs and returns the document he's holding. "I have the unfortunate duty of informing everyone that there was only one person specifically listed in the will, Jonathan Strauss's nephew."

A collective gasp comes from several of the people gathered in the room, as your own jaw drops. At first you think of no real reason that you should be the sole inheritor, especially due to your lack of involvement with your uncle. You could count the number of times that you met him on one hand. On the other hand however, you were the only person present at his funeral... perhaps he did have some reasoning.

This only becomes more apparent as you look around and notice others' reactions to the news. Madame Laurent's jaw shifts from side to side as she stares at you coldly, pinching her pearl necklace so hard that it looks about ready to snap. Anna's once fidgeting hands are now balled into fists as she bites her lip and looks to the floor. Brianna's cheeks are flushed as if she's restraining an epic tantrum, her nails scuffing the fine chair she's using.

Mr. Taggart continues, "While all the staff are to be compensated for an additional year's time of work, the vast remainder is to fall solely into the nephew's hands. It appears that the late Mr. Strauss requested the presence of most of those gathered here today for a lesson in greediness."

You barely hear him as you contemplate what you could do with millions of dollars, or this house? This house is yours now! So much is going to change for you. You can't wait! Wait..what did Mr. Taggart just say? You had zoned out but it really sounded like everyone gathered was allowed to stay the night here.

A feeling of unease comes over you as you realize you'll have an entire evening in a house filled with angry and entitled women.
