Playfully.

“A little.” Alice smiled back.

“Want to trade?” She said, her lips spreading into a smirk.

“Can I just borrow it, and take it for a spin?” Alice asked with a giggle.

“You can sit and spin.” She smiled flipping her off.

“Kind of what I had in mind.” The redhead wiggled her eyes suggestively.

The blond burst into laughter, surprised at the knight's humor. The two were quickly cut short, by their commanding officer, however, and went back to being quiet. Sitting in silence the two continued to stare at one another with smirks, as the ship lifted off the deck, and slipped out into the darkness of space.

Within a few minutes the ship began to experience turbulence as it began breaking through the atmosphere. The shaking got bad, and the soldiers looked around wondering if this was normal. Suddenly the ship rocked and an explosion occurred outside of the ship, beyond the officer.

“Report!” He called out in surprise.

“Some kind of ionic storm, we lost our left engine. Hang tight!” The pilot called back, over the intercom.

The ship vibrated violently as it plummeted toward the ground in a fall none of them could see but all of them feared. Finally after agonizing seconds the ship hit landfall, and began to slide, shaking side to side, before finally coming to an abrupt halt. The lights flickered as everyone tried to relearn how to breath.

A young black haired man next to the cybernetic woman, unbuckled his seat and threw up on the bulkhead. “Yeah,” The woman groaned in disgust. “you're cleaning that up, not me.” She said, unbuckling and turning to get her weapon.

“Kane.” The officer groaned unbuckling. “Get the soldiers moving, and check the perimeter.”

Thankfully she had read the file on the team, to get at least some idea of who was who, and what they could do. “Yes sir.” Alice answered unbuckling and grabbing her swords, strapping them to her hip. “Ledford, Mulder, with me.” She called out.

“Yes sir.” The blond woman and a hulking man in a suit of power armor said in unison.

Walking past the hulking man, she glanced at the armor he was in. It had the same black and red hex pattern, but the exoskeleton was made of thick metal plates, which made him hard to hurt. His head was covered in a red helmet, with a black skull painted on the front. Like most of the soldiers including the officer, he had a pistol strapped to his thigh. As he stood up a hulking six and half feet tall, she could see the giant pack on his back, that had a thick metal cord leading to his repeater, which was mag locked just beneath it.

Walking to the doors, on either side of the ship, she looked back at the second set of benches which held six infantry. The two closest to the doors seem to be in okay shape, and were unbuckling already. “You two.” Alice said pointing at them. “Form up.” She finished pointing to the door to her right.

With a nod, the two soldiers grabbed their blaster rifles, and set up in a kneeling position, guns up. The blond scout, had a battle rifle gripped in her hands, and she moved to her left flank, as she moved toward the center.

Mulder, the guy in the giant power armor gently put his hand on her shoulder. “May I?” He asked politely.
