Let go of Tina. Watch the movie.

You release your hold on Tina and put your hands in to lap. The rest of the movie goes by without any other contact between the two of you, but she doesn’t cuddle with or touch Jeff either.you barely notice when the movie ends; you’ve got other things on your mind. Was she wet for me? Does she like me? Can I pull her away from Jeff? It’s like everything is lining up. Your chest puffs up a bit.

You look over at Tina. Your eyes lock for a moment, but then she looks away, awkwardly smiling as she rises to her feet. “Well, I better get going.”

“Me too,” you say as you stand up. “That was movie wasn’t bad, thanks for inviting me.”

“You’re welcome,” Tina replies.

“Yeah, you’re welcome,” Jeff says.

“That’s enough out of you, nerd,” you say to Jeff. Tina giggles a bit. It’s a bit forward, but you think about asking Tina if she wants a ride home from you.
