The weekend arrives, and you’re excited to meet up with the beautiful, kind, lovely Tina. You shoot her a text: “hey perfect :) where would you like to meet up so that I can return your bag?”

“Oh hey,” she replies.

A few minutes pass by and you don’t hear anything else from her. You want to set the meeting place. “I want to make this as simple and easy for you. You’ve already been inconvenienced enough as it is. Plus, we can hang out afterwards :) What would you like me to do?”

“Sorry, I already made plans this weekend. But we can still meet up if you want to get it out of the way.”

You’re disappointed, but you quickly reply, “that’s totally fine! I don’t expect you to run your life around me. I just want you to know that I think you’re amazing and I’ll do whatever you want me to :)”. That ought to show her how much she can trust me.

“I’m at Jeff’s house. Do you know him? He’s on the basketball team at your school. 8 Windsor Place.”

Jeff? You know of him, but you didn’t know anything about him. Tina hangs out with him? They must be going out. It’s great that someone is making Tina happy. She deserves to be happy. I should just roll with it. Either way, you need to decide how you’ll serve Tina.
