"This is going to sound weird." You start, already regretting talking. "I found out that my girlfriend wears diapers and I had this crazy idea to try wearing them myself so that I can... I don't know... understand."

"That does sound weird." She giggles. "But also sweet." She leads you over to the incontinence aisle. "There's two main types. Ones that pull up like underwear and those that tape on. The ones that pull up are only for very light incontinence."

"I definitely saw tapes on her diaper." You say.

"Then I think these are what you need." She grabs a bulky package from the shelf and pushes it into your arms.

The picture on the front shows something that looks similar to a baby diaper. The text indicates that they are designed for severe incontinence. It also indicates that there are 14 in the package.

"I don't think I need this many." You say. "Is there a smaller package?"

"I'm afraid not." she shakes her head. "You could just wear them until you run out. You probably wouldn't learn much about what it's like for your girlfriend by just putting one on for half an hour anyway." She reasons. "She has to wear them all day every day. Go to work in them. Go shopping in them. Go on dates in them."

"You're right." you sigh, feeling like you've gotten yourself in far deeper than you were planning. "I'll take them."

"Do you need a bag?" She asks you as you reach the counter.

"Yes." There's no way you people to see what you're carrying. "Please."

She puts the package into a far-too-transparent plastic bag and takes your payment. "Enjoy." She says with a smile.

"Thanks." You quickly take the bag out and throw it into your car.

As you get to your apartment building you realise you have a problem. How are you going to get them up to your apartment without a neighbour seeing. Normally you would take the lift but what if someone else got in. Could you keep the diapers hidden?

Maybe you should take the stairs.
