Honor the appointment?
Why not? Could be good for me
Dr. Carvigo's office certainly looks legit from the outside, just a normal suite in a normal building with a normal nameplate out front. Yet you feel a nervous hesitation as you put your hand on the doorknob, completely unsure of what you'll find on the other side-
And as you slowly creek it open, that nervousness evaporates entirely. Sitting at the reception desk is a statue of a woman, a marble goddess in the flesh, with short blonde hair and biceps the size of your thighs. You might not have noticed her iron muscles if she as wearing a business suit, but for some reason she's behind the desk in spandex and a sports bra, finishing up the days' business as she waits for... well, you, it turns out.

"Oh hello! There you are - come in, come in and have a seat." She stands to her full height - easily a foot taller than you - and gestures for you to park your ample behind on the leather couch inside. You recognize that voice immediately, like sugary velvet.
"Dr. Carvigo?"
Her laugh is like a mellow wind chime as she seats on the couch next to you. "No, the doctor's inside. I'm Amber, we spoke on the phone?"
It's not a small couch, but you feel a little embarrassed by the way she spreads out welcomingly. Her sports bra leaves so little to the imagination, and she just seems so... strong. "Y-yes, I remember."
"I can tell you're nervous, most people are."
"You can? How?"
Her blue eyes, still so kind, seem to see straight into you. "Oh, your posture, your demeanor, your attitude. You took my direction to sit so quickly, so eagerly and moved over for me on the couch, and even now you're having a hard time holding my gaze. Isn't that right?"
Ordinarily, you'd feel torn to shreds, but for some reason the way she says it makes you feel... warm. She is right, after all, and you nod as you look at the carpet.
"Just a little pre-screener test. The doctor will work wonders for you." She stands and walks to her desk, where she takes out a clip board. "Now, if I could just have your height, weight, and measurements?"
"Measurements?"
"Purely for medical reasons. This is a doctor's office, after all."
You guess that makes sense, and you stammer out the information as Amber nods approvingly - just as the intercom on her desk coughs to life.
"Amber? Send him in." There is no question in the voice - assured, powerful, robust. You sit up a little straighter just hearing it.
Amber smiles and gestures for you to go on ahead as she picks up her gym bag. "Have fun!" are her last words out the door, and you can't help but wonder what she means by that.
