Meet Up With Katie

The remaining day passed in a blur for Jess; Physics, Video & Film, English and Health passed smoothly for her as she continued to make friends, charm teachers and pass classes. She could have gone home right then to conclude a day that started so traumatically but, perhaps against her better judgement, she met up with Katie.

"Jessica! Aah I knew you'd make it!" Katie says excitedly, giving Jess a hug as she passes through the south exit. "C'mon, we're all going to take the city bus downtown!" The public transportation left a bit to be desired in this city, Jess knew that, but there was at least a pretty straight route from her school on the edge of the Sunnyside neighborhood into downtown. "Oh, a bus? I don't know that I can-" Jess starts "I've got your fare covered, don't sweat it, silly!" Katie says sweetly "We're all here together, don't worry" she says supportively, sensing apprehension from the blonde from the events that morning.

Jessica looks around as she walks to the bus, her and about two dozen teens are on their way downtown, Katie as their organizer and leader. She sees some familiar faces from her classes, even Lana and Olivia. She glares as she makes eye contact with Olivia, who rolls her eyes "Okay look.." Oliva says as she approaches Jess, her expression clearly strained "You're like, actually kind of cool I guess, so-" She hesitates "I'm sorry about this morning, okay?" Olivia says with her arms folded, not sounding entirely sincere "Really? So you're going to delete the vod?" Jessica asks hopefully "What? Fuck no!" Olivia laughs "It's gotten more views than all my other streams combined!" She says incredulously as Jess glares. Olivia hesitates a moment "Okay... Okay, fine." She grabs her phone from her pocket "I was just joking, chill." She says, rolling her eyes "There, it's gone."

The bus arrives and the group boards, Jessica feels the sticky floor of the bus under her bare feet as she steps on. It's surprisingly crowded for a neighborhood stop, must be the adults getting off work, Jess figures. The seats quickly fill up with her friends, and Jess is left standing. She stands awkwardly in the isle shifting uneasily on her feet, a few other classmates left standing with her. As the bus jerks forward, she's thrown off balance, bumping into a nearby middle-aged man "S-Sorry!" She says before grabbing onto a bar to steady herself. Jessica's movements and the vibrations of the bus cause her hoodie to ride up a bit, exposing her bare butt little by little with each passing moment. She doesn't notice at first; the man behind her getting a beautiful eyeful of the blonde teen's naked ass. In turn, more of her peers and more of the adults notice her predicament and admire the view.

Jess is lost in thought as the bus moves forward, but is snapped to attention by the sound of an unsilenced camera phone going off. As if conditioned to respond to the noise, she checks her outfit and is immediately brought back to reality. She blushes bright red and tugs her hoodie down with one hand, doing her best to get herself covered again. She looks around to see that only a small portion of her cohort actually saw, as well as a few adults. With a blush across her face she pushes herself to the back of the bus in an attempt to hide, sighing as she gets there. At least in the back, nobody would really have line of sight on her.

"Oh hey Jessie!" A familiar voice calls from behind, Jess turns to see Lana "Didn't realize you'd be joining us! How'd your first day go, girl?" She asks curiously "I-It's been okay, a little overwhelming" Jess says, her face still red "Hey, you don't gotta be embarrassed, you have a nice ass" Lana says coyly with a wink "Oh my gosh, you saw that? From back here?" Jessica gasps, her blush deepening "Hey, chill, it's just 'cause I've got good eyes" Lana says with a laugh "What's your routine? How'd you get it so round and perky?" She says teasingly, but seemingly genuinely interested "Oh, um" Jess is taken aback by her forthrightness "Well, I did cheerleading and cross country at my old school, so lots of cardio and squats!" She says with a giggle, amused and a little embarrassed at her butt being the conversation topic "I suppose I can thank genetics too, you should see my mom!" Jess says with another laugh "Hey, if she's anything like you, maybe I should!" Lana winks "So tell me about your old school, what was it like?"

The two girls chat and laugh for the remaining bus ride. "Hey everyone, we're here!" Katie says with a bubbly excitement as she leads Jessica's cohort off the bus. Jess steps off the bus onto the city street; she hadn't actually been downtown yet. While the outlying neighborhoods felt small and suburban, downtown was pretty bustling, with people and high rises all around. Jess walks with her friends down the street, suddenly feeling even more vulnerable in her little hoodie dress; she hugs her arms close to her side and sticks her hands in her pockets, desperate to avoid another exposure. She's pulled out of her own head again by a loud voice beside her "Jessica!" Katie says excitedly as she bounds next to Jess, putting an arm around her "You're going to perform at Karaoke, right? You've goooot to!" She says excitedly. "Well, um.." Jess looks at Katie's eager face, as well as at the curious expression of all her peers, interested in her decision.

"Sure, why not?"
