Enter Naruto, The One True Sage. Its Really just a date!

Naruto, not being one to have a fat head, simply shook off the overwhelming feeling of being honored with a title and left the Hokage's office to meet up with Kurenai and Konan. He found them talking and waiting at the base of the Hokage's tower, where they were standing and talking about this and that as they waited for there future husband. Naruto wanted to spend some time with them to get to know the two of them better.

He attempted to figure out a way he can do that well while still sorting out other things. He contemplated this for a little while as he watched them, then decided he would take them to a flower shop to spend time with them. As he had learned, most of his wives, even the one from the desert, seemed to like flowers, so it was a good bet that this was a good way for them to spend time with him.

He approached the two women and invited them to accompany him to a small walk. The two women looked a bit surprised, but nodded their consent nevertheless and thus, he lead them into town, the target only known to him. "Can we get some dumplings to eat?", Kurenai asked as they passed a dumpling shop.

Although he is hesitant to deny her this, Naruto figured that the flower shop would be a far better place for them to get acquainted. "I wanted to go do something else, that might interest both of you. I figure it's a way for you to tell me something about you and meet or talk to one of my wives.", he explained. With a grin, he pulled them into Ino's family flower shop.

As they enter the shop, the scent of various flowers hung in the air. The three passed the multitude of flowers, of all shapes and colors. "You know, I could just make most of these flowers out of paper and they would look like the real thing.", Konan suggested. "I often craft them from paper so that I don't have to kill the flowers, at least when I find them in the wild. If I am unable to copy it with paper, I tend to take one and press it so that I can learn to make a copy of it.", she told them.

"I see... I tend to like to grow flowers and care for them, the easier it is to grow the better. Though I do like many types of flowers and the colors.", Kurenai disagreed with her fellow wife-to-be. It seems they had different mindsets when it came to flowers.

Behind the counter, a blond head had taken notice of the newcomers in the shop. Yamanaka Ino, Narutos wife, curiously eyed the women who were in his company. "Naruto, nice of you to visit me... hungry for more, huh?", she asked jokingly before turning to the women. "Good morning Kurenai-sensei. Is there something I can do for you? Maybe you're looking for a new flower? I can tell you, we just have a new bunch of them in, so I could show you...", the young woman began rambling. Obviously, Kurenai was one of her favorite customers.

But Naruto had to break her stride a bit. "Actually Ino, I brought Kurenai here with me.", he mentioned, innocently enough.

Ino blinked. "Huh? Oh, so you met her on your way here?", she asked, trying to make sense of it. Naruto himself was a bit hesitant about coming out with the truth. After all, who knew if Ino would be opposed to it or not?

But Kurenai came to offer some help, but not the way Naruto had expected it. "No, that's not it, Ino. The truth is, I will be joining you and the other girls soon and be a bride to Naruto.", she explained truthfully.

Ino looked stunned. Her mouth was slightly agape. "No way!", she gasped. Naruto couldn't tell what Ino was thinking about those news. "Wow, so we get to take care of Asuma junior? Awesome, that means we can practice a lot for the time when we have kids!", Ino exclaimed cheerfully. "Oh, congratulations to you, Kurenai-sensei. I'm happy you'll be with us. I tell ya, Naruto is the best husband you could wish for!", she told her with a discreet wink.

"I'm sure of that, Ino. Well, I will find out about that soon enough myself, I suppose.", the older woman said and looked at Naruto with a smile. Naruto felt hot and cold at the same time all of a sudden.

The blonde head turned to eye the blue-haired woman who was also in company of Naruto. "And... who's she? I guess she's another lucky bride too, huh?", Ino asked with a teasing smile.

Of course, such a cheeky gesture was lost a bit on Konan, who merely nodded. "That's correct. I don't think we had the pleasure of meeting yet. My name is Konan, and I was the former head of Amegakure.", Konan introduced herself.

Another foreigner. That intrigued Ino to no end. Being the usually gossiping girl, she just had to know more about her. "So, you've ever been to Konoha? How did you meet Naruto-kun?", she asked curiously.

"The last time I've been here was three years ago...", Konan said, sounding somewhat saddened and embarrassed about it. It was obvious she was talking about the destruction that Pain had wreaked upon Konoha. "And that was when I met Naruto too.", she added.

Ino understood immediately. "Oh... I see.", she said quietly. Her face showed conflicting emotions. It was clear that she was troubled about her presence in some ways.

Naruto saw the conflict inside Ino and tried to soothe it a bit. "Ino, don't worry. Things have changed, she's not the same...", he began to explain, but Ino interrupted him.

"I know, Naruto. She's marrying you, so she can't be all that bad anymore... still, everyone of us has lost something back then.", she objected with a hint of hate in her voice.

Konan saw what Ino felt. And she couldn't blame her, she had deserved her hate. Even though she had not harmed this girl directly, she had willingly participated in the destructive attack and had been convinced of it. Now, she had come to recognize that the loss of life was never the best way to solve a conflict. "I am truly sorry for the role I played back then. And I assure you, I will do my best to make it up to Konoha. And to Naruto as well.", she said, her eyes open and honest.

Ino smiled brightly. It was hard for her to bear a grudge against Konan if she was so polite and earnest in her speech. "Good enough for me. Well then, what can I do for all of you?", she asked, falling back into her role as an employer at this shop of her family.

Naruto was relieved to see Ino was willing to forgive Konan. And if all of his wives were just as open-minded, there would be no problems with her joining his clan. "I brought them here to pick out a flower that best represents something they want to tell me and explain it.", Naruto explained to Ino.

Said Yamanaka girl grinned from ear to ear, this was something she understood well language with flowers. And she had learned from Sakura that Naruto was also a closet fan of gardening himself, a fact that only made her swoon for him a bit more, even before they got engaged. "So, you want them to let the flowers speak in their stead, huh?", she asked.

Naruto nodded. "True, I care for a plant myself. Regardless, I just thought, both of them have had a flower on them every time I have seen them. And you Ino and many of the others really like flowers. So I'm here.", he explained his motive.

Kurenai smiled. "He has a point. I normally always do have a flower some where on my person.", she said, pleased that Naruto had such a sharp memory. It also told her that he had been watching her and paying close attention to her, which flattered her.

"And I tend to make a flower from paper and put it in my hair.", she mentioned. Today, she was skipping out on it, but true, her regular appearance did include one.

"So, would you two please pick a flower and tell me why you like it or think it is fitting to explain something about you?", Naruto asked of his two wives. In a moments notice, the two had been wandering about the shop and returned to him, a beautiful flower in each of their hands.

Kurenai had picked a flower called the Star of Bethlehem. It was white and shaped a bit like a six sided star with a yellow core. She held it very carefully, like the delicate thing it was. "This flower is part of a large family. Some parts of its family are toxic. Others of the same family are eaten as a very tasty vegetable. This flower itself stands for hope, as in the hope I hold for the future of the next generation. And this is also the reason I was a teacher to Team 8.", Kurenai explained.

Naruto turned to Konan and takes in her choice, the Oxeye Daisy. It looked a lot like the one Kurenai picked, but different in that the white parts circled all around the flower. "This flower is very hard to make out of paper, it means patience. This flower can also be eaten but the task one goes to do that often leads to funny taste. The flower is often used for the old statement, 'He loves me, he loves me not'. This flower reminds me a lot of how Nagato used to act. This flower is very symbolic to me.", she said quietly and a nostalgic look came over her. It wasn't a sad one however, it looked like she was fondly remembering something.

Ino was the first to respond, a warm smile on her face. "I think both flowers really do say something about both of you, and the fact you picked flowers that look a lot like suggest you might both have something very much in common.", she commented.

"You're talking about me, right?", Naruto asked with a smile.

"Of course, silly.", Ino laughed and gave Naruto a joking slap on the shoulder. He still hadn't lost that childish demeanor of his that made him so endearing.

Naruto chuckled a bit and rubbed the back of his head. "Thanks for helping, Ino. I will see you later when you get home, where I will introduce them to the others. But please keep it a secret and until then, please don't tell anyone.", he asked of his wife.

Ino pouted a bit. Now she was supposed to keep this secret after learning it before anyone else? No fun! "Awww, you know how hard this is for me, right? But oh well, with all the shocks we have been giving you, I will let you get this one.", Ino agreed to his plan.

Kurenai and Konan both bowed and thanked Ino for letting them use her families shop to express themselves like Naruto had asked them to. "Well, let's get going, shall we?", Naruto asked of his wives and they agreed.
